Re: LA beatmaker production techniques
Speaking of which, would love to know more about the beat scene's extreme usage of side chain compression. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlmFy4-xXQU For example, how was the 808 on this beat processed? It's punchy but not hard/distorted and it doesn't decay immediately. I'd imagine the waveform to...

Re: Anyone can download your tunes from soundcloud!
One of the firefox apps you can use to download audio from video does this, but thankfully only saves in .mpeg so the quality is pretty poor. People are always going to be able to get hold of your music, that's just life I think...

You could consider
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/168709
70w 40-20khz response
or even
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/200508
80w and supposedly has 20-20khz freq response though I doubt it actually goes that low for that price

Re: Bigger sound!!
Detune the oscillators from each other, that's what I do anyway. I usually go for something between .7 and .25 but play around until you get the effect you want.

Re: Music Production at University
What do you want to do after the course? Think about it and then look critically at the syllabuses at the prospective uni's, which one suits what you want to get out of the course. Music technology is one of the broadest course titles out there ranging from BSC to BA and even then just cos you're d...

Re: Music Production at University
University of East London doesn't have a good rep from what I've heard from teachers in the school I work in. Although I'm pretty sure Kode 9 works there as a music lecturer. Yeah I thought this as well, one of the modules is entitled "soundscapes" which sounds very Kode 9 to me... Don't ...

Music Production at University
Ok, so I am thinking of applying to these Uni's to study production.
University of East London
Glamorgan
London South Bank
UWE
Plymouth
Has anyone had any experience with any of these?
Literally anything would be a great help as I have left it rather late...
Cheers

Re: Problem in FL
Its definitely installed fine as there are other instances in the project file, and I've never had problems with it before.
