@BudSpencertron - Thanks about the sub. They're just two simple sine waves. One real sub one the lower octave then one a bit higher which seems to make all the difference on sound systems without any kind of subwoofer.

Just a little question to see if anyone else has the same problem. The ableton 'auto filter' seems to not be in sync with abletons tempo (on the synced settings, of course). When I use ableton's built in auto filter (say on a distorted bass) and I then try to add a nice sub underneath and modulate ...

@ The people trying to copy automation, try right clicking anywhere on a automation track in arrangement view an uncheck the 'lock envelopes' setting, This will copy all the automation from one midi clip to another, it might help your problem?!?!
