Ableton panning options
Hey everyone I use Ableton and when I want to pan stuff out to give it wider image i've been using one of these two methods: A) Send track to two busses and pan the busses to where I want them. This works well but I find myself having to make 10+ busses for varying degreees of wideness (Bus A and B ...

Choir synths
Afternoon everyone  So I really dig the vocal choir sound (especially female) for epic leads but I'm having a hard time finding a good (preferably free) synth that can crank these sounds out. Any recommendations? I'd much rather synthesize this sound on my own but honestly I have no clue wh...

Limiters and their uses
Hey everyone I'm a little confused about when/why to use limiters. As far as my knowledge goes, and please correct me if I'm wrong, they're used to keep signal from going over a certain threshold which makes them common on master faders. I was watching the Foamo masterclass and he was putting a limi...

Gabber kick variants
Hey doods. Check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcKWJ19pFoY (What I'm talking about is at :06, :11 ) I'm trying to figure out how to make this little rhythmic kick variant that is common to a lot of gabber tracks. I'm thinking it's the same main kick with a resonant filter + bandpass on it...

Re: Can you hand-draw waveforms?
You know I wondered if this was possible a little while back I'm glad somebody else is intrigued.
You should just try and write one in Soundforge or Logic or sumfin

Re: Reverb in the low end
Oftentimes what I thought was a kick with reverb on it was just a super subby bassline with lots of harmonics on it. I heard this mostly in Hardstyle/hardtechno tracks but im sure it's prevalent in Dubstep also. Set your bassline's cutoff to it's fundamental frequency (IE if your bass is playing E1,...

Re: How organised is your production library?
I used to organize it meticulously but I found that I organized it so intricately that I had to click 20 different folders to find a sample and that sucks when you're just trying to Scroll through a bunch and see what's up.

Anyone know how to use MIDI Learn in Cubase SX3?
I can play notes on a synth via my MIDI keyboard, but I can't figure out how to assign a knob to LFO rate, for example. It's killing me

Re: Super noob, would love some sagedom!
The reason it's hard to hear chords in a lot of electronica is because the notes are often spread among different unconventional instruments. Basically, there is a kind of "subconscious" chord that is there but you can't really pinpoint. For example, for a C major chord, the kick might be ...
