If you right click on the top bar of the Simpler device there is an option to convert Simpler to Sampler.
As far as chains go, it's kind of hard for me to explain, but basically each pad in the drum rack can have as many chains as you want. Each one of those chains can have samplers, synths, other ...

Re: The Ableton Q&A Thread
can each "pad" on the drum rack have its own effects on just that one sound? when in session view and you click the arrow to expand it to the right to show all the hits and volume faders, can you drag effects into those, i would try it but im not home right now.

This is a pretty good watch if you're interested in monitor placement and room treatment.

Re: Can't continue! How to make ableton hold a note!?
In that screenshot you have that clip set to loop after 3 1/2 bars. Is that what you want? Also, you might want to take a look at the oscillator envelopes in Operator to see if any of them are set to loop. Other than that I can't really think of anything else.

Re: Can't continue! How to make ableton hold a note!?
I'm not sure what's going on, but for a quick work around you could just set the input of an audio track to resampling and record yourself playing it in realtime.
I did that too. I used the global recording or whatever and when I hit any key it sounds the exact same as if I were to draw it in ...

the default settings on the simplers can get in the way though.
there is a way of changing those but it's a bit involved, involves editing some config files i think.

Re: Resampling help
Honestly, if you're just starting out I wouldn't even bother with resampling at this point. I would just stick to Massive and maybe a couple other synths and just focus on learning how to use them. You can make plenty of badass sounds without resampling.

Re: Fidning your note after resampling
Ok thank you for all the info guys. Very helpful, but I still have not been able to find my original note in the sampler. I compared the original note with the one in the sampler after transposing it endless, and nothing matched. I feel as though this shouldn't be so complicated...

Re: Kryptic Minds // Production Video & Masterclass
Oh yeah, no doubt it's standard practice to put some final eq on the master. I just thought it was weird how he was doing things like adding a pretty big boost to add presence to the snare when he obviously has access to the project and could just do it in the mix.

Re: Kryptic Minds // Production Video & Masterclass
again, another waste of time from computer music:
5 mins of talking about hitting things off trees.
getting a genuine 128kbps sound rather than a fake digital(wtf??) 128kbps.
saturation on every single thing.
then more saturation on the master.
some ambient crackle shitty noises

Re: [Help] Cant listen to music/internet while using ableton
It most likely has to do with your sound card/drivers. What are you using for an audio interface? There is often a setting to allow multiple programs to access the sound card instead of just one at a time.
A lot of onboard sound cards don't seem to allow this though. I have the same problem on my ...

Re: I own Reason 5, my brother: Ableton Live
Big ups, thanks for your feedback.
Question people - since FL Studio runs off of VSTs, and since I own Sytrus (one of the popular FL Studio synths for electro/house), will I be able to use this within Ableton? If I have it, is it still recommended I get Operator?
EDIT: Also, I keep hearing ...

Haha, I guess it just depends on how much variation you want to have in your velocity levels. He'll definitely hear the effect at 100!
