Re: rusko cd book stolen

i dont get why people are saying it's some big loss for him. saying he lost time and effort. wtf?!? he can just burn the CDs again, no big deal. the problem is that he doesnt want other people to get the exclusive tunes and play them and/or leak them on the net. so he loses the exclusivity of some t...

Re: does Garage belong here really?

i asked this to be renamed House a while ago. House, techno, deep, funky etc=House. I get that a lot of stuff that's referred to as "Funky" is just "Funky House" or simply "House." But some of the stuff that's refered to as "Funky" is such a departure from Ho...

Who's the top Funky DJ right now?

In your opinion, who is the top Funky DJ right now? A year ago at this time I would have said Marcus Nasty without a moment's hesitation. But his selection has gotten a bit stale to me (however I haven't got a chance to check out his sets since returning from Napa). I've really enjoyed Mak 10's sets...

i've just been saying Experimental Hip-Hop since so many people reject Wonky. there isnt really clear name to call the genre. it's also hard to even say what qualities make that genre and what qualities exclude something from the genre. i think some of the producers like this though, since sometimes...

Anyone have old Clairvoyants sets?

Can anyone hook up some older (ones not available on Rinse's site) podcasts of the Clairvoyants on Rinse FM? As far back as you can go if possible. Thanks --------------------------------------------------------- Edit: here's an updated list. Thanks to Grand for the additional sets. Clairvoyants - R...

Dark Knight = D1 ??

I saw someone on dissensus say that Dark Knight sounds like D1. After checking it out myself, I certainly agree. There are some drum paterns that remind of me of D1's distinctive style.

Can anyone confirm this?

i've heard some AC Slater tunes that are alright.

to me, this genre sounds kinda like Bassline, but just a bit slower.
tbh, i dont really see this genre going anywhere. I can see people liking it, but i cant imagine it being anyone's favorite genre.

I used to like his selection much more a few years ago when it consisted of nothing but Loefah, D1, and a few Mystikz and Skream tunes.
He is one of the most talented DJ's I have ever heard. Certainly the best DJ in the Dubstep scene. He just blends things so smoothly.

yeah, i got kinda bored with Dubstep in late '07. When listening to Youngsta and Toast, I felt like I was hearing the same set every week. Majority of stuff seemed to be all about darkness and wobble, and nothing else.

I've mainly been listening Grime, UK Funky, and "Wonky".

I was googling for Slimzee sets and I came across the Rinse FM forum and from there I found out about dubway's Dubstep blog. The first set I heard was Youngsta & Task on Rinse FM, March 10th, 2005.
