Chainsaw Calligraphy is amazing. It's still one of the most over the top, unique bro tunes. Some of yall take this shit too seriously.

Re: James Blake - Limit to your love (Benny Benassi remix)

Man, I like a lot of brostep, but that shit is just :dunce:

It sounds like music an absolute imbecile would make. This makes Gucci Mane sound like a genius.

The fact that 95% of dubstep fans like this shit makes it impossible for me to say I like dubstep.

Thought his release on Wheel & Deal was sick. Not his typical style.

Re: Melodic Dubstep & Strip Clubs..?

I heard all these songs, yes. It doesn't matter if the music is good or "sexy". It's just way too boring, especially if it's played on a less than adequate system. It would be like hearing Isaac Hayes or Barry White. Not the right place.

My answer to the OP: Don't play any sort of dubstep. It's ...

Re: does anybody here like lex luger?

All his beats sound pretty much the same, and other producers like Justice League and Cardiak do his style better than him. Example:

Fuck me this beat is huge...
Agreed. Justice League in particular are really a notch above the rest.

Honestly, most of you guys are huge fucking nerds who have completely lost touch with reality. Von D or Mala or Silkie at a strip club??? That would be so awful.

Re: Previously Good Dubstep Producers/Labels Making Bland Ho

Fractal gets it. If you want booty-slammin bass, cant beat hip-hop. If anyone knows about bass, it's black people, real talk.

:? You say that as if black people weren't solely or heavily involved in pioneering the other genres being discussed here...
Yeah I meant African Americans. Black people ...

Re: Previously Good Dubstep Producers/Labels Making Bland Ho

Dungeon is getting stale. Brostep has been stale. Post-Dubstep was never good. The house and 808 stuff is mostly bad/boring. Even Night Slugs fell off IMO. EDM is for pansies anyway.

Rap music goes way harder. ALWAYS HAS. ALWAYS WILL.

Re: Wiz Khalifa 'Taylor Gang' sounds like Girl Unit

i dont even hear vocals in hip hop anymore, ive learned how to just cancel it out

Same, a few of my mates are big into hip-hop and they don't get it when I say I jus listen to the tune  whereas they'd say the vocals and lyrics were the main hook... this could start a whole new topic ...

Re: Best and worst dubstep tune of all time, and explain why

Best: Silkie - "Test" or maybe Distance "Traffic". Not sure that's very tough.

Worst has to be "Chainsaw Calligraphy" or "Sweetshop". Both are rubbish tracks that people jumped all over which is crazy as both actually have no sub at all. God knows how it both got released in the first place lol ...

Revisited this classic after a long time without listening to it the other day, was surprised by how deep and thick the bassline is for 94 hip hop...
