Completely agree on production quality. Always impressed by that...both of them have some of the sickest mixdowns, synthesis, and ear candy around. If I could only listen to the drums, incidentals, and bass id be happy :D guess its the melodic content in the strings that really turns me off of this ...

Feel like its kinda overhyped...Lyrical classical cinematic music meets breaks/dnb....feel like theyre trying so hard to evoke emotion it gets kinda cheesy. just my opinion tho

For me, it's very therapeutic to produce. My ideal downtime from my job and life is sitting infront of my monitors making weird sounds. I almost enjoy synthesis more than putting together a whole track. I really just try to have fun with it! I haven't really experienced much of it turning into work ...

I have noticed this....I would just automate the gain of a utility plugin at the end of a channel.

It may be a power issue...used to happen to mine. Try plugging it into the strongest usb if you have one (some comps have one main usb). Also try this with the trigger finger being the only usb device plugged into your comp.
