Re: Keeping The Fire Burning

I became a lot happier when I stopped trying to shout into the void. Focus on the connection you have with people through music, who gives a fuck if you dont have internet points. The only thing you can be the best at is being who you are. The way I see I dont care if I am losing 'the game' of music...

Re: you may be wasting your time

I write music to express thoughts and ideas that I want to solidify, for myself. But when that music connects with other people it is a great feeling. I now understand that the other stuff is part of connection, that is what people want - a connection to the music, and often its creator. You dont ha...

Re: Pro Q 2 Ridiculously Sick EQ

Wow that looks incredible. I wish I could justify 200$usd for eq, I have been waiting forever for DMG Equality to go on special, that thing is also amazing. It sounds so good you cant even 'ring out' freqs easy cos it sounds so smooth. If pro-q was just a bit cheaper i would buy it right now tho, da...

Re: Producing with Depression

@Nowaysj That isnt the act of music making tho, thats the act of comparison and judgement. If you make the music simply to express something then I think it can be fantastic. There is a difference between music-as-art and music-as-therapy imo but they are both creative ways to express yourself and f...

Re: Where do you draw the line?

I think you get a feeling after a while when tracks turn from an idea into A Thing, that is what your style is - how you take nothing and turn it into something with its own identity. Make something that speaks clearly and it doesnt real...

Re: Monarch Audio Mastering review?

It is easy to do anything badly. Work on your mixing and pay for someone who you respect and release something you can be proud of. Anything that is louder will sound better, match your volumes and see if it is actually better or is smashed hat garbage that is tiring to listen to. You are paying for...
