Re: [TUT]Automating external VST in FL studio

Alternatively, you can go to the top left of the fruit wrapper, click the arrow, click Create Editor Thumbnail, and it will go to the generator in the browser automatically. Another way is to tweak the knob you want to automate or control, and then go to Tools > Last Tweaked or Tools > Next to Last...

Re: FINISHED TRACKS FOR FEEDBACK-- JULY 2010

Oh bummer :/ Thats why I do mine all in one go, no confusion. Your track, intro drums and synth sounds are cool but the scream thing isnt to my taste at all... But if your going for a sort of evil clown vibe I guess you've got it.Bass sound is pretty nice when it wells up. Bit crushed yoi-yois a pre...

Re: FINISHED TRACKS FOR FEEDBACK-- JULY 2010

Hmm, think I maybe joined up all those little bits andd decided it was a pad lol - just felt as if your kick was getting drowned out a little. Would agree that hook writing is probably my weakest point, but yeah it was defo meant to be a super chilled out song so cheers for feedback B)

Re: FINISHED TRACKS FOR FEEDBACK-- JULY 2010

@Imperial Mary Jane - Some of the higher frequencies in the intro bit hurt a little and could do with being turned down a touch, vocal sample is pretty cool, drums are nice at the start but get a bit boring after a while. Feels as if you need a thicker sub under your bass as its all mid range atm. B...

Re: Any tips on making Kryptic Minds type bass sounds?

Sounds quite a simple noise, still heavy. Maybe try having a layered sine and square, heavily lowpassed, and a touch of distortion. Set attack as almost 0, decay to taste, sustain to 0. The sucking sound I think would be the pitch dropping in time with the volume, try fiddling with pitch autoamtion,...

Re: LFO Query

Alternatively clone your instance of massive, copy and paste your midi line onto the new instance but in a seperate pattern, and then in the second instance change the lfo settings - then sequence using the seperate patterns. (Btw I havent used cubase, so the terminology for what im saying may be di...

Re: Share your techniques for Sound FX & Ear Candy in your music

Latest one I'm working on has an indian theme going on it - tiger roar (cheesy as fuck but sounds awesome), traditional indian instruments for a bar at a time - keeps the entire theme of the song rolling :)

I don't use Reason and so don't know if its the same, but in FL Studio you have to secan for new VST's even when they are in the correct folder.

@sesg: Great stuff. This takes me back to my roots, I play drums in a fusion band back in miami, and you brought a very chill realistic beat to the table. Nice positive melodies and clean sounds. have a listen, hope you enjoy this dubstep influenced tune: http://soundcloud.com/pohms/black-seeded-si...

Re: FINISHED TRACKS FOR FEEDBACK-- JULY 2010

@fassyman - like the intro, dont think ive heard summat like that on a dubstep track before, drop is good although the sub becomes overpowering very quickly - small gaps would add more weight to it when it is there. Drums are really nice and really set the mood, like being lost in the jungle XD Brea...

You guys are hilarious but unfortunately not very helpful. I dunno how a DOA search on google is going to come up with download links. Try this instead http://www.darkbeats.com/sampleswap/ That was for the what DOA? comment, first thing on google! To be fair they are mostly assholes over there but ...
