Modus Operandi was the first electronic album I "got". Something just clicked, phenomenal and incredibly influential throughout genres.

I write in reason and very roughly mix as I go (just levels though, no EQ or anything). Then once everything's written I rewire into Cubase and start my mixdown from scratch.

Nice tune man loving them drums. For me though the sub is just too 'big' if you know what i mean. Tone the harmonics down a bit maybe. Im ok with this. It's what dubstep used to be like before everyone turned into mixdown surgeons anyway wish more tunes were mixed like this actually. would be facemelting on a system all about this i think too much dubstep these days sounds overly produced, the rawness of the early stuff definitely...

coki hasnt made any dubby tracks in years......... clearly he's moved on from that sound. not a big deal IMO. his sound has only gotten more awesomely fucked up. more digital/mystical. What about Celestial Dub & Bob's Pillow. Pretty sure they wasn't made that long ago, no? bobs pillow aint dubb...
