Re: Dark metallic Blawan/boddika esque Synths
well this is talking about drums now. just stick to making patterns... i mean, people think the samples will do the job. i can spend an hour looking for the right kick drum. something i kept from sampled hip hop production days. trying to be hi tek dilla and mad lib as for patterns... its things you...

Re: Mastering Compressing Question
theres nothing u could do to match a guy like bob katz. those guys have kilotons of experience behind them.
ur job would be to produce a decent mix, since mixing and production are now kindof almost the same... do u work with a label?

Re: Do you think that using loops/presets/sample packs is 'l

(I'm talking about basslines here.) oh sorry god. i didnt know i was a sinn...

Re: Knowing when to stop/ over playing your own project.
aim for rock solid. op. if you cant listen to a tune for hours and still feel its good... its not as good as the tunes i aim for. not being a d. just being honest. know that the wow factor (i.e. drops that get their energy thru loudness rather then a cleaver build up) will make ur tunes listenable a...

Re: Blawan: Q&A
the guy sounds like blawan.
started on ableton + izotope for mixing. now on a full analog rig. still sounds like blawan.
hes genius is aesthetic and rythms. not machines.

cool thanks. I cannot be alone with this but I often have my bass sitting around the same as my kick or it just doesn't bang. I often try get my tune to peak at the same level as another Dubstep tune and I will need to put the bass volumn up or it just doesn't come near where I want it too  R...

Re: The Ableton Q&A Thread
dont think its possible. it isnt even possible to automate pitch parametrs for a clip. why would you do that ? why not use a loop and make its lenght dematch the beat.. or move it in the arrange window ... that function is meant to remediate latency issues... best way to alter a sample's timing in c...
