Re: hmm weird problem..

Ayeeee it's all about balance Try something based on the principle that if you're cutting out a quarter bar you may need to compensate by putting the extra notes (that are now absent) earlier on in the measure. Don't end everything on the beat and it'll flow. I dossed about with stuff like this rece...

Re: A GUY WHO UNDERSTOOD

Suits are spooky for two obvious reasons: 1) It's the humble choice for most corpses chilling in a coffin 2) Twats with gelled hair and badly fitted suits are guaranteed to pounce on you due to 'performance-related-pay' their mobile phone sales shop operates No point in struggling to be middle class...

Re: hmm weird problem..

Can't say I have that problem, as most the audio sampling etc I do manually on an audio track within live. Hack it up and position it etc, so what you see is what you hear. Slightly confusing, but it sounds a little like you've inserted a rest into the whole song, maybe it's worth just detracting th...

Re: Musical Instruments

I strum my banjo string if that counts. Arghh, jokes aside, I once "snapped" (that's the usual assumption, but it's far worse, more like a salt-and-vinegar burn mark) mine due to the ol' beast wi' two backs. At the time I thought it was my dirty bitch of a girlfriend on her period Anyway,...

Re: anyone using reason rewired into live?

Earlier on today I described reason like "Christopher Reeves trying to knit a new superman cape" and that was one of the reasons why... There should be a button to get the sequencer bigger, but I couldn't be arsed with it once it was wired into ableton. From what I gather, reason is design...

Re: anyone using reason rewired into live?

Yooo I've just started doing this for the last week or so. Got reason in search of some meatier synths etc, but was a bit dissapointed with the sequencing etc. Looked online and there's loads of quick and simple tutorials on how to rewire it, even on the ableton site> http://www.ableton.com/pages/re...

This article should bring contemplations down to earth a little; dispel and negate some of the fairy-dreamland shite

Anyway, time may be a healer, but tales of anal-sex is a secret weapon to crippling their new relationship. (Top tip)

"Not worth shit or will it be okay? I think loudness is more important than quality, the people that are coming are there to drink, smoke weed and dance to good music..."

Loudness is quality

Two of the most satisfying parts of my spitty little life so far:

"Psssst wanna know a secret" You'll make money if someone else can make more money from you. Latch on to a unique selling point, illustrate how and why it'll make someone [record labels/clubs etc] money, then deliver the goods. Or just get fucking mashed and have a blast everytime you're t...

Ha nice one, always great to find others that put chemicstry to reasonably good use! Yeah I made a few tracks recently courtesy of super-mushios!

Anyway, tip number two to get some creativity back, cut down on wanking haha

I remember a time when I borrowed some vinyls from a mate and the decks started skipping. Turned out there was a cunting dead spider having a party with the scratching needle. It'd raved that hard it was down to only three legs remaining Hope you've found better advice than my shitty anecdote by the...

Yaaaw
Try dossing with the release time on your kick drum and side chain a gated bassline to it. Leave the rest to a combo of voice-stealing/the mind's interpretation!

Re: Feeling so uninspired

When I get seriously creatively constipated I choose to abuse a new chemical and see what it brings to the surface. I once tried sobriety, but that didn't lead to many good vibes. I did get a track called "Weedless" out of it, however. Anyway, same goes for any hobby; switch it up and merg...
