Re: NEW DUBSTEP TUNE FORTHCOMING
The main fast/16th wobble/wibblet thing sounds weak, needs eqing or something. The overall mix is just sounding thin atm. Then again I'm just listening on headphones it could sound banger on a system for all I know. There was some cool panning stuff in there though.

If you're try to figure out wobbles the production board has tons of info. Also the Work In Progress thread is a really good source for feedback.

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for NOVEMBER, 2010
http://soundcloud.com/kromakey/free-11-3-10-wip Just started this today. I'm going have someone record some palm muted guitar stuff for it tomorrow. tripwire22- As I stared to listen to it I was really worried this would be one of those tracks that doesn't go anywhere or progress, so when the prec ...

I did not listen to the track all the way through. Just couldn't stand the Nickleback samples.

Re: FINISHED TRACKS FOR FEEDBACK-- OCTOBER 2010
@dj seizure- I really dig the vibe of the tablas and vocal samples. The water sounds were really cool when I put my head phones on. I do feel like I was waiting the whole time for a more drastic change-up it the song that just never came. @mistayif- Cool stuff going on with the constant clap line. I...

Re: Drum Rack Sounds Weak
Every time I load a hit into drum rack I change the volume to 0db and set the velocity to 50. That will give you something to work with. I have no idea why the volume always sets to -12db automatically but it's not what you want.

Found some free dubstep sample packs
Breakcoreyourself.ru has some free dubstep sample packs right now. The site is in russian, but you can use babel fish if you need to navigate the site. They also have quiet a few other sample packs like a ragga accapella pack and lots of drum packs that might be relevant to the interests of some peo...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for SEPTEMBER, 2010
Appreciate the feedback on on my last WIP 'Fun' guys! I kind of wish the comments were more critical of it so I would know what else to fix. Left a few of yall some comments on SC. Hears a song idea I've been working on this past week. I'd really like to know if the high oct arp works with the rest ...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for SEPTEMBER, 2010
@Astral - Dig the chopped vocal samples, they keep the listener interested. @mashmash- XTC-1 seems like a chill track. Needs a bit more change ups and progression structure wise IMO @Akoma- I like the main line, maybe eq it a bit more to get it to pop in the mix more. More build up before the drop m...

Re: just got an MPC500
I have an mpc 2000 that I haven't used in a while. I haven't tried producing any dubstep on an mpc, the work flow with it just seems so slow compared to using a computer. Also dubstep usually has a more modern production value that I feel you can't get with and mpc, at least when it comes to arrangi...

My ableton keeps shitting itself
When I try to preview or drop samples into ableton they take forever to load, won't play correctly, and freeze the global play button. The only way to fix this is to save, quit, and reload the set. It happens for both single hit samples and full tracks. I just got 20+ new free vsts and aus very rece...

Re: Have a present. Boards of Canada attempt
Interesting sounds. To get more of that BoC feel try running all your sounds through a shitty old old stereo amp or the pre-amps on a reel to reel.
