Re: What are the benefits of Logic?

got logic 2 weeks ago, coming from ableton. my experience so far is that i find the interface a bit less intuitive, and like somebody said already less complex routing options, but the overall sound is more professional. i know it's debatable whether there are sound differences between DAWs, but i t...

Re: Gasland / hydrofracking

I work on a rig in Canada (admittedly a bit hypocritcal but I wanna pay off some student loans asap) and fracking is very common around here. While out working I've travelled to quite a few different small towns in Alberta, and pretty much always in these towns the water smells and tastes gross and ...

yup :)

I definitely write better music on guitar than anything else since I suppose it more naturally comes out of me that way than any other (compared to a piano or drum pad etc).

Re: Waking Life

I like the part on neo evolution, today we get to experience like 10X (?) the amount of technological generations than homo sapiens in, say 40,000 BC did. Pretty exciting: from no computers > massive computers > desktops > laptops > handheld iphones etc in 50 years, compared to those guys back then ...

imo the emotions evoked by Tune A were relatively flat in comparison to the emotions evoked by Tune B, which I found more uplifting.

Re: [EDITED!] Music Theory for Dubsteppers [Production Bible

I've had a lot of time on my hands recently so I decided to start memorizing scales. I started with A minor and was working my way through the rest of the minor scales and at the same time I started to read about diatonic modes and realized that by memorizing one minor scale you are essentially memo...

Re: your first acid trip...

My first time was with a girl I met at a rave (I was 21)... she stayed at my place that night and the next morning I offered her some acid I had recently bought with my bro, so we did like 2 tabs each, it was both our first times... we thought we'd go to a park that day (it was summer) and had a gre...

Re: An afterlife theory from a different standpoint

It's possible that we enter a (perceptually-) eternal dreamlike state after death, but this can't be the case for people who die in explosions or plane/automobile crashes and have their bodies and brains completely destroyed very quickly, and therefore have no workable brain left for DMT to do its t...

Re: An afterlife theory from a different standpoint

This is worth watching: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5r-MXPk1_M0 In that video Joe Rogan talks about DMT and death etc. ... like how if we don't sleep we eventually go crazy and die, so there is something important about what dreaming and the release of DMT does to the brain... pretty interesting.
