Re: video to accompany my music

thanks for the help though.

Re: Logic X(not release news)
2. in reaper, you can side-chain and/or modulate any parameter using reapers built in lfo , or any parameter of any other instrument/plugin in your track as your modulation source. you can do something similar in reason too. for example, i could modulate the volume of my fm8 that's on track 2 by us...

Re: Cheap digital mixer advice needed
Wait are you asking for a audio interface recommendation or an external mixer? ahh shit i should've been more specific. i just want to dj mp3's i buy off of itunes, along with my own stuff. i just need something external so i get a different output for headphones and i wanted to know what my cheape...

Re: My tune is not loud enough
until i actually got one of my tracks mastered, this was something that always worried me. now i couldn't care less how quiet my pre master is. in fact, it's probably better than having it too loud.

Re: Logic X(not release news)
i know i said i wasn't going to go into details, but there's two things in reaper that i really wish logic could do: 1. add fx to a specific audio region (in reaper, this is called take fx and is extremely powerful). for example, this means you can have 10 snares all on the same audio channel have c...

Cheap digital mixer advice needed
I'll be brief....I'm just looking for the cheapest possible way that I can mix tunes on my laptop, whilst get a secondary output coming out of my laptop so I can mix using headphones. I don't need any fancy shit. I'll happily mix the tunes on my mac's trackpad, or just tempo sync the tunes. Does any...

Re: ITB console emulation with outboard summing
sorry to hijack the thread, but i've got a couple of questions for you. 1. can you hear a noticeably improved sound from running your tunes through the bustard, rather than say bouncing out of logic in 44.1 khz/24 bit? 2. do you actually use some sort of hardware to record the bustard's output (dat ...

Re: video to accompany my music
nice. for this particular project, i want some kind of abstract video that kind of "moves with the music" if you get what i mean....and i think that with my very limited video skills (as of right now), i'd be better off finding someone that can make this project look as professional as pos...

Re: Logic X(not release news)
i've been using reaper for a week and i've messed around with ableton in the past too. both have some amazing features that i wish logic would implement. i'm not going to go into details because i'd be here all night. i do still prefer logic....i just hope that the guys developing logic x give it th...

Re: video to accompany my music
Go to the local arts/media college in your town and ask to put up a notice on their bulletin board; "Music producer requires video/graphics to accompany electronic piece. No fee, but chance to showcase material. Please contact - you@your-email.com" You'll get a couple of replies off that ...

Re: Automating in Sync mode lfo = Unsmooth?
I am getting clicks or sounds that seem like glitches to me every time there is a change in Sync or beats mode in most synths I'm using. Current one being Fm8 Is there a way around this or is hertz the only option? you could always just duplicate the channel and have a different rate on that one? s...

Re: is "gettng signed" worth it these days?
perhaps consider letting a few of your tunes get out there on smaller labels....knowing that you're going to make fuck all, but it might help you to build up some steam online if you pick the right label. hone your production skills as much as possible....then go after some bigger labels. if you don...
