Re: The Ableton Q&A Thread
not too sure what u mean sorry so I'm going to have a little rant about how i think about compression. Think about it as if the compressor is an actual person that is moving a fader, lets call him "Compressor" haha. You say to compressor "for every 4dbfs above -10dbfs (which would be ...

Re: The Ableton Q&A Thread
Nah the ratio means that 10db over the threshold will output 1db over the threshold if that makes sense. 20db over threshold at ratio of 10:1 will output 2db over the threshold. For example if you have a signal at -8dbfs and you set the threshold at -10dbfs and the ratio at 2:1 the output signal wil...

Re: FINISHED TRACKS FOR FEEDBACK-- NOVEMBER 2010
Thanks for all the feedback on the last track. Was helpfull! @Asterix Mixdown needs alot of work. Your synth is way too loud. Hats too quiet and you really need more sub if your going to do a wobbler imo. Doesnt really sound like a tune to me sorry dude just a collection of wobbles and transformer s...

Re: FINISHED TRACKS FOR FEEDBACK-- NOVEMBER 2010
@Sniperdubb Nice intro. I think you should add a bit more silence before the first drop. Love choir samples.. The second buildup is good but i think it gets a bit too hectic with the midrange. I dont think it suits the choir samples. Just my taste though. Otherwise the production is good! Nice one @...

Re: FINISHED TRACKS FOR FEEDBACK-- NOVEMBER 2010
@defaultuzr Cool track. Loving the glitchy style. Mixdown sounds good. Nothing i can criticise. Great work! @dj seizure Nice bongo rhythms. All i can say is really enjoyed it! Keep it up @+3 Another cool track but way too short.... I feel like you could do some great progression with that track. Pro...

Re: FINISHED TRACKS FOR FEEDBACK-- OCTOBER 2010
@ Dubplateguy wobbles sound a bit empty to me. Maybe they are highpassed too high. They sound a bit week compared to that synth in the intro. I would like some more sub aswell. Nice variation though. Good job @jstick Love the "do do do" sample. Nice work on the drums. It sounds like the ba...

Re: Benefits of a midi keyboard
I completely disagree with both you... I can press a full octave of notes at once on my qwerty plus I don't struggle anymore writing with my qwerty than my 25. this I honestly prefer qwerty over my axiompro 61. And whats this shit about only being able to press two keys at one time? Fuck that man i...

Re: Benefits of a midi keyboard
I don't see any point what so ever to get a 25 key, keyboard... 90% of DAWS enable you to use your qwerty keyboard to play notes and yes, it might not be as nicely layed out or velocity sensitive but it does the trick.. Midi keyboards are only decent if you ... 1) Get a 49 key or above. 2) Actually...

Re: FINISHED TRACKS FOR AUGUST, 2010
@reignz - Nice one mate. Production on your midrange is real nice and great variation throughout the track. Enjoyed it! @pain - Intro is a bit wack to me. Have you tried reversing some of those pad samples. Like the progression throughout and nice work on the drums nice groove and not too busy. @dub...
