Re: how to get into DJing?
LOL. Start by not getting into DJing looking to get paid. In all seriousness, go to good nights with music you like. Talk to people, make friends. Hand out some CDs or post some sets. And above all, do it because you love it and because you have something worthwhile to add to the mix...not because ...

Re: People into dubstep from the start, how do u feel now?
i like it all now, as the genre developed, my taste has changed. but ive always loved that sort of dubstep that you could lay alone in your room listening to making it feel like you're driving down a lonesome road in heavy rain. really emotional shit.

Re: Location of best dubstep (NOW)
It's widespread, but I understand New York, London, Bristol and West Coast America are thriving. As well as many parts of Europe that have Previously listened to techno/trance etc. The worst place for me has to be Canada, just because the whole extreme side started there. Anyone dissin the American...

Re: Bass for longer sustained notes?
Tylerblue wants to have an interesting synth so that they can do that without taking away from the actual mood of the song, if you just hold down any synth the sound quickly becomes boring.narcissus wrote:uhh, just hold the key down. or am i missing something here?

Re: Bass for longer sustained notes?
you could try to put a bit of delayed movement on the top end of the bass? so the dynamic changes towards the end, just before the next note hits.
