Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JULY, 2010

@ tomm, nice tune, nice and proggy like it :) Reckon the drums could up in the mix a bit, nice reggae vibe to it, reckon you could progress the sections a little more, but it's a really nice floaty ambient piece and works well as it is :) Reckon you could do some crazy dub delay stuff with the ...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JULY, 2010

@J 13, the way it usually works is if you're new you have to give feedback on at least three tracks before posting innit :) But I like you tune very jean michelle jarre, nice ambience, but I could give you better feedback and others will be more inclined if you comment on at least three other tracks ...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JULY, 2010

@snoopexx, nice dark vibes you got going, really nicely controlled bass, maybe add to the ambience the bass is creating by some noisey reals sort of sounds with reverb and filter maybe, just to add some layers, or maybe chuck the snare through some reverb just for one old skool reggae sort of hit ...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JULY, 2010

@Airiabam, that was the best piece of feedback anyone has ever given me thank you, :) Really know whaat you mean about the static tembre, it's just I've tried a few effects like phasing and ring mod but becasue it's quite a thin sound in very specific band of frequencies it sounds kinda shit ...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JULY, 2010

@sesG nice tune, like the pads at the start give a nice atmosphere, and the breaks are nice and progressive, nice mixdown, doesn't sound studio wuality but it sounds more like a band recording with synths, which is no bad thing if you were intentionally going for that, and it sounds like you were so ...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JULY, 2010

@weedcall nice rootsy vibe to it, mite need to control the subs in the first section, and the drums might need a bit of eq to take some harshness, but good job mate :)

@kindnoble, sounding fat mate decent tune for someone whos only been using ableton for 6 months, well done mate, carry on! Propa ...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JULY, 2010

Any Ideas where i should take this track?

Yeah I got a few ideas mate, I reckon you should do at build up starting around 1.19 instaed of fading out build up and drop, get some rising white noise of something or a reverse cymbal or a pitch sweep or ...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JULY, 2010

@Haack, propa nice dark sound you've got going there mate, liking the reverb on th perc sounds really good, sub is sweet, and all the other modulations sound quality decent progression, wouldn't mind another build up and drop at the end to tie everything off, but it's propa sweet what you've got ...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JULY, 2010

@Imperial valley of the kings, that is wicked mate, loving the bass in it, maybe needs some sub along with it at times, loving the melodies in it very eastern sounding, reckon you easily to anti climax where it ends, then have a pad and some strings like you'e got have a riser and drop back into the ...

Re: FINISHED TRACKS FOR FEEDBACK-- JUNE 2010

@offkey LB well that was filthy wasn't it, evil bowels of satan would like some more modulation of the bass, not extra wobbles, but other characteristics of the sound to change over time, for instance wavetable, or chuck a phase/flange sort of thing for a bar, and sort of change the timbre of the ...

Re: FINISHED TRACKS FOR FEEDBACK-- JUNE 2010

@ AL4228

Likin the vocals but a little too over top cheese for me! Snare sounds like it has got too much reverb on it. Maybe try having two copies one with reverb and one with out, then mix them together and you still have the original punch of the snare and so it's not too drowned in reverb in the ...

Re: John Bonham samples

Apparently to record the drums in the track when the levee break's, they set the drum kit up at the bottom of a set of winding stairs in a country mansion to get some natural verb going on, those drums sound massive.

And the drums in since ive been loving you, so good, you can even hear the kick ...

Re: Would any find it useful if...

It's already finished on the link above your last post, aimed at breaks/dubstep producer with fat ass drum sounds, a opposed to making a piano type sample pack.

Please check out what I've got in there and give me some feedback on it if you can, but cheers for the link, guess i've beaten them all to ...

I doubt this would help me much but it would be a great help for beginners. Talk to Futures Untold and see if you can get this included with the free studio/daw pack; here's a link to the thread http://www.dubstepforum.com/post1830209.html?hilit=free%20portable#p1830209

also big up for trying to ...

Sample pack for da noobs

Hello,

Here's a selection of decent quality drum sounds (aimed at breaks/dubstep producers) and other miscellaneous useful sounds including risers and a few massive patches made originally for ganglion blackguard, nothing complex just a few different basic wobbles for da noobs.
