Re: A DIFFERENT BASS DISCUSSION FOR ONCE! BASS LOOPS!
I agree with all of these comments! So why the hell does every new sample pack think it's good to include loads of bass loops if nobody ever uses them!?

A DIFFERENT BASS DISCUSSION FOR ONCE! BASS LOOPS!
Can somebody please tell me why, when you buy a sample pack, it contains bass loops? Does anybody actually want to use a bassline someone else has created? I can understand single bass notes which sustain for a few seconds, because you can obviously use these in a sampler etc, but what are you suppo...

Re: CD Authoring
Either, have access to both at work. Just need the program names and maybe a quick guide or something.

How to do CD Authoring
Does anybody know how to burn a continuous DJ mix onto a CD as separate tracks rather than an hour long WAV so you can quickly skip to a track etc? Thanks.

Re: How to Make Epic Soundscapes (without timestretch)
Who'd have thought a topic on Reverb and Soundscapes could escalate like this... Uh, I find it a good rule of thumb not to insult people online, if, in real life, they're actually a big, mean lookin' Maori geezer. Not sure why this bloke took it upon himself to start insulting me? I'm not wasting m...

Re: How to Make Epic Soundscapes (without timestretch)
all about the earlia dubstep, like how the ambience sounds like its in a chamber. the heavy reverb on the snares. Now its turning out like punk... straight up & it your face. What do we expect from someone with a name like "filthy-hertz" (a returning alias perhaps)? CHAMBER BASS MUSIC...

Re: How to Make Epic Soundscapes (without timestretch)
You still don't understand what I posted... I didn't say to put loads of reverb (let alone 100% wet reverb) on everything... i said to do it to one element (and one that is completely separate from the track), that is also heavily effected with other means, which is bounced out and brought back in ...

Re: How to Make Epic Soundscapes (without timestretch)
I'm well aware of the subject. Loads of reverb is not the answer to everything. Ambience and atmosphere are not created by using massive reverberation on everything. There's a nice article on wikipedia which says, "ambient music is a musical genre (you can still apply this to music in general) ...

Re: How to Make Epic Soundscapes (without timestretch)
Not sure why alot of people are saying that you should use lots of reverb on everything? Reverb is something that should be used subtly, so that the listener doesn't notice it is there. Just create lots of pad and synth layers and use delays and reverb type fx in subtle manor, rather than turning ev...

You're so right about the saw wave thing. The same people who think they can learn to mix in a weekend start producing and think that routing an lfo to a filter cutoff is mastering synthesis.serox wrote: phew, glad u got it;)

Re: Anybody else get pissed off at people that only dj?
Massive has nothing to do with DJ'ing, which is what I was talking about. Your "sarcasm" missed the point and therefor became hot air, thus avoiding detection from my sarcasm detection unit.

Re: Anybody else get pissed off at people that only dj?
It cracks me up that people on here are saying a weekend is all it takes to learn to mix. You obviously cant actually mix, but what you can do is talk crap.

Will be on vinyl no doubt! Probably instrumental on the other side since that came out long before Katy B got on the vocal.

I will be amending the facebook page as we go along. All suggestions are welcome. Also any links to bio's, photo's and any other info regarding either Katy B or Benga would be used and greatly appreciated.
