Re: DAW overload(stuttering)

I'm 99% sure memory speed has nothing to do with it. Are you using an external audio interface? If so try increasing your buffer size. If not, are you using asio4all? You should be. You could also try bouncing down synth lines to audio like dubunked said to lower the load on your cpu.

Re: FL studio automation

Record into a separate pattern than Which your synth is on. And stop usin the pattern blocks , they limit creativity so much. this. also when using a separate pattern you can record as many automations as you want in that one pattern without filling up the whole playlist. i only record the automati...

Re: Mpk 49 & traktor

I have made one for use with my mpk49, wouldn't mind sharing it if you really want it. But you will probably have better luck using the learn button and setting it up to how you DJ. If you do want it though just let me know I can upload it when I get home.

Re: Reversing the effect of MP3 compression.

Don't think this would work the way you are thinking because the mp3 format is a lossy compression, meaning there is information lost from the original source after you compress it. It would be like if you zipped a file, instead of being able to unzip it and get the original file, all you would get ...

Re: Skrillex Growl in FM8 (Got A Rough Sound)

is this straight out of fm8? or did you automate the eq and add a vocoder afterwards? says in his original post [...]And PLEASE take note that this is the unprocessed, unresampled, un distorted sound, just the raw sample from FM8, and I think if I actually tweaked it for longer I could get an even ...

Re: RAVE OR DIE 4EVR & EVR

Went to Identity Festival when it was here ~a week ago. Saw a lot of the people in those pics. It really made me sad :(

But I got in for free with backstage access and got to meet a lot of the artists, so I didn't have to deal with the plebes TOO much :W:

(it's like calling the Republicans the GOP, I guess - a nickname.. actually, quite an insulting one but it's been accepted) GOP is insulting? It means Grand Old Party. pretty sure he means Tory or tories from urbandictionary: Tory - Along the same line as toff as it really is used as a derogatory w...

that is pretty much exactly how you do it. either using a filter, EQ or a multi-band compressor. there are tons of threads on here about it, and plenty of videos on youtube of this process for your specific DAW

to be honest, i really love FLs built-in synths. layering up 3 instances of 3xosc sounds really fat! and for crazy fm sounds, sytrus is where it's at for me.
