Re: The Ableton Q&A Thread
Yup, every other macro is working. I can even do the rate. But for some reason DEN and NUM aren't coming up. Maybe try updating Massive/Ableton?

Re: The Ableton Q&A Thread
I have a question with using massive in ableton. i cant find a way to adjust the sync ratio in Ableton's session view. Obviously I can find it on Massive but that's not helpful because I dont want to make a ton of Massive tracks for each sync rate. Please help!!! Use the configure button on the dev...

Re: The Ableton Q&A Thread
Anybody know how to quickly queue specific, but multiple clips in session view? For that matter, sometimes I need to end multiple clips and start others in the same interval. This has got to do something with chain linking?

You're talking about personal albums, not samples from Ableton's library?xx773xx wrote:I can't seem to find some of the wavs/mp3s in my collection of albums when I look for them in Ableton. Copyright issues, or something else?

Re: different time sigs... ie 6/8
I'm writing a song that seems to have 3 different time signatures, if not more. (7/4, 3/4, and 4/4 that I have know of) Is it a sin to switch directly from one to another? If not, anybody have insight on how I do so effectively? Just do what sounds good. Though you can do polyrhythms, keep, for exa...

Re: The Ableton Q&A Thread
I still don't know how to sidechain  Tis not hard at all compadre. To get the hang of it, 1. open impulse and start off with a four on the floor kick loop. 2. make a synth loop and drop the compression tool onto it. 3. Click on the triangle in the top left corner of the compression toolbox 4....

Re: The Ableton Q&A Thread
Thanks for the advice. From what it sounds like I need a separate kick track in order to sidechain, is this correct? Your second piece of advice is intriguing. I could probably side chain the noise, keep the kick muted for now, while making the hi hat and snare more prevalent then at a specific poi...

Re: The Ableton Q&A Thread
I'm pretty new to Ableton and music production in general, and as all of you know: the first couple months of learning is the hardest, yet in many ways the most rewarding part of creating music. If anybody can help me I'd really appreciate it. Here's my goal. I want to take a sample of white noise a...
