Re: The future of piracy
One of the main guys behind the top audio app cracking teams died some time ago from what i hear.. there's nobody to replace people with that level of talent. The kind of things they pulled off such as the Synchosoft emulator were among maybe the most difficult cracks ever done by any release group;...

Re: Forthcoming Deep Medi's?
For new collectors i recommend having a look at the special offer section on redeyerecords, loads of nice releases half-price or better on there. The first Old Apparatus release a notable one.

Great representation of the American EE DEE EM scene i've been hearing so much about imoBASED wrote:It’s happening: Skrillex, Diplo and A-Trak set to remix Michael Jackson
Back in February, Diplo talked up a possible ‘Avengers Assemble’ coalition between himself, Skrillex and A-Trak.

Re: trance songs that really need dub remakes.
The trance aesthetic doesn't really go with dubstep at all... i don't see why any of it would be good remixed really. So just to continue the trend of actual good trance being posted here's a track that would obviously not be made any better as dubstep: Velocity - Lust (Rabbit In The Moon Remix) htt...

Re: Brostep / Skrillex and the Forum.
It sounded extremely electronic -q- Well...all of this stuff is electronic music. Dunno why people say all the brostep stuff sounds robotic either tbh; most of Autechre's stuff sounds more robotic to me. But they like to use it to describe something as soulless I guess. Yeah.. i mean Autechre is in...

Re: whats the very first dubstep tune ever made????
The problem is it was such a transitional thing with dubstep. If you take a genre like acid house then 90% of people you ask are gonna tell you Acid Tracks because it was such a clearly definable new genre. But that rarely happens and with most genres it is more like 90% of people will tell you one...

Re: Spin Article on Dubstep - American dubstep and UK
How is Caspa helping by playing whole sets of this no-rhythm sound then? Or is he just saying my wobble is better than your wobble, cause it's played out whoever is making it. I don't dislike him for doing it cause it's obvious supply and demand but still.. he's one of the people able to expose musi...

Re: * What's Your Favourite Vinyl Artwork ?
I love cityscapes so Orca - Long Distance and Blue Motion - Stay Forever are 2 of my favorites. Exit records has very tidy artwork too, love the style. The Beaumont one is very cool too, excellent fit for the sound.

Re: Post-Dubstep
It seems like the term is just coming into use because a load of total shite has appeared and basically taken the name dubstep for itself. I'm not surprised people are stretching to try and make a new term as quickly as possible, to avoid being lumped in with the awful wobble stuff. That is the form...

Swindle is my fave so had to be a tune from him, was just wondering which. Decided to go for Molly from the Airmiles EP on Planet Mu rather than the obvious ones.

Idk what you pretentious oldfags are complaining about, you still have your chilled out DUB to listen to, and you still have you're bandwagon approach to hating things just because something went mainstream, come out with a more massive tune than Heavy Artillery or even Station Six and I will bow d...

Again, just like the other topic, what dubstep is mainstream? Katy B and Magnetic Man are mainstream and people on this forum like them mostly. The fucking horrible midrange shit is not mainstream at all.

Re: Dubstep To Trance. Perfect mashup? BPM opinions.
Technoboy did the hardstyle track like that first, it's supposed to be influenced by lento which is some italian slow electronic music. I dunno what dubstyle would have do with this thread though cause it's like 80bpm or something. Hardstyle is 140-150 and mixable into dubstep would sound probably s...

Re: story of brostep
rob sparx thats bollocks. Brostep isn't more mainstream at all it's infact less inclusive. I Need Air and Katy On A Mission is mainstream. Getting in the charts is actually mainstream. Getting a million hits on youtube from North American 16-25 aged males is just a heavily internet driven fad. It's ...

Yeah why is this 10 quid for one 12"? What does 2 sided continuous EP mean here? I was interested from the beginning since its Deep Midi but the price is a lot for one record.

Re: Magnetic Man - I Need Air
Well fair play to them getting 10th in the charts i guess. But the tune to me is pretty bland and i dislike the vocal.. is it really going to be a track anyone will go back and listen to in a years time? Some people are saying at least they are trying something new, but really? Maybe in dubstep it's...
