Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

NG_GAMMA - your main synth is too low in the mix, kicks are a little dominant. sounds good otherwise. kidstrange - nice tune. IMO the lead synth that comes in as of 1min is a little distracting/unecessary but just taste. great vibes. dubmikey - sytlistically not my thing at all so hard to judge, but...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JANUARY, 2011

MRP5: 'Smash that' - really great synth sounds. Dont personally love the distorted drum samples. Mix sounds really good too, high end really shines. Alexvont`12 : Kit sounds a bit weak, snare does not do it for me either. Well automated synth and I like the high end sounds in there. Good subs. Drums...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JANUARY, 2011

Did this in about 2 hours this afternoon. Just jammed with the acapella. I like the vibe but I'll never develop it into a full tune.

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JANUARY, 2011

nonXero: Great work, love hearing people use their own samples. Really cool vibe to the track! KidStrange: Solid tune. Bass is good. Some cool stereo effects going on. I would maybe switch up the drums a little more. The Jaft : The drums need to come up in the mix for sure. I really like the keys th...

My current WIP: http://soundcloud.com/wife/wife-a-good-man-work-in-progress/s-sn67T ______________________ Hendrix126: Really good production sir. Vocal sample are great but maybe a little too loud in mix. Lot of ideas in there, just a matter of stretching it out for longer. Weedcali: Love the instr...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JANUARY, 2011

DJ RISE; Sounds really good man. Not my thing at all in terms of style but the quality of the production shines. Well mixed, everything sits well. You could maybe do with mixing up your lead a bit more, just to add some more dynamic. The sample is 1.17 so I think you would have a hard time stretchin...

Re: The Cloaks and 3by3 thread.....

Much love for Cloaks. Desolate Turves EP is outstanding and seems to have gone under the radar. Gotta catch them live asap.
Look forward to more 3by3 this year.

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JANUARY, 2011

Origins; sounds good man. Hard to get a feel for the whole song as its a short sample. Good mix - maybe the lead wobble/synth is a little to loud. Could push your subs/low end a little more too I think

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JANUARY, 2011

Naklewicket; cheers. I have no idea what genre it is - bass music? It's definately the 'fastest' (even though its at 140bpm) songs I'v produced to date. First time I individually eq'd every sample too so maybe that explains the crispness. Liking your tune alot. Really well mixed and produced. I thin...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JANUARY, 2011

First time sharing a wip here. This track is nearing the final hurdle. Its minimalism is intentional so I dont want to go overboard adding too much else in terms of layer. Criticism very much welcome! Link to track (I cannot embed as it is private on soundcloud); http://soundcloud.com/wife/wife-a-go...

@Voodeedoo - I really like both of the tunes you have posted. Really cool stuff. Very nice live sound to the first one, do you actually use some live instruments on it? Second track has that warm Boards of Canada sound that I love..

@donpablo - really liking this. Some great sounds in there.

@arisemprex - sounds great man, just a bit heavy for my tastes. Really like the vocal editing. Love the pad sound at around the 2 minute mark.

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for DECEMBER, 2010

@ Kes Es - Tune it a bit heavy for my tastes but I love the synth sounds on this track. Very nice. @ Akkep - like this tune alot man. The delayed percussion is really interesting and dissonant sounds are great. I does not even need a melody to my ears! @ Corpu5 - great vocal samples and melody. the ...

@ Fatach ; Sounds really good. Really like the broken feel. Definately sounds like there is enough of the high frequency stuff.
