I resample stuff all the time to get talking, growly, monstor basses but i cant figure out how these 2 have gotten their basses to sound so dry and crunky, while not sounding detuned or even really that filtered.

KRK rokit 6 buzzing issues
Hey guys,
i turned my KRK Rokit 6's on yesterday and the right side speaker is making a strange crackling/buzzing sound. It sounds like the "paper" sound in the NI Massive noise section.
I unplugged the speaker from my interface and the sound goes on unchanged, so its gotta be within the speaker ...

Re: (Seriously) How would I go around making basses like dat
use massive (some sort of digital wave table thats well layered within the synth with other osc), some bandreject that is routed into a scream/daft filter, small distortion and chorus/flanger/phase within massive. Then, eq it a bit, send it to WOW filter with the env follower on and the band reject ...

google "chrispy dinner" and via freesounds.org, you can get some massive kicks and snares that sound natural but sharp as hell. they punch through nice

Re: super stereo sound
the chorus in massive is ok for this if used in super-sparingly. like 5% on the dry/wet. the whole firepower crew (datsik, getter, prototype, AFK, etc) mostly use massive for 90% of their entire sounds so im sure whatever you got inside the synth will cover most your basses. just be aware that over ...

Re: 3rdeye - the last time i saw you basses
thanks for all the great knowledge. truly an inspiration. ill have to try giving the sub a bit of drive and then filtering out the top. ive tried getting all crazy with multiband saturation but im guessing that just un-necessary and way too far. i think ill keep working with mostly audio in samplers ...

guitar rig
anyone here use guitar rig? i just saw all of the effects and modulation stuff that comes with it and it looks pretty sweet. seems like a all-inclusive bass design plug.
does the quality of all the effects sound good in your opinions?

Re: MUST DIE! Vowel bass help
the complexity comes a lot from massive, but a lot from the post massive effects. I find it useful to make as good/wet/squelchy sound as you can in massive with minimal modulation (maybe just a basic lfo wobble or long envelope with as slow attack) but take advantage of the effects within the synth ...

Re: MUST DIE! Vowel bass help
i feel like must die often just uses massive and by the sounds of it im sure you could get something close with massive. mess about with all the digital waves (chrome, digigrain, etc.) and use lots of ring mod/fm in the moducation osc. i have gotten some weird shit by just attaching lfo/envs to ...

Re: Good Toms For Dubstep Fill Ins Please!
dodge and fuski say they get all their tom fills from the vengeance clubsounds 3 pack. i have it and paged through the folders of loops and heard most of the exact same samples. sounded like lots of the NSD artists source them from here. kinda generic sounding but thats literally the exact same ...
