Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION-29
I'm so retarded. Thought this ended tonight @ midnight PST, so I stayed off DSF all day to make sure I could finish up my little last-minute throwdown. Just PM'd Haack all happy... ...and then get here and see it's already up. Fuck. FUCK! I am in the same boat. Its only 9:36 on the west coast. Any ...

Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION-29
wow, I've never actually tried to put sounds together in a full blown track before. It's so complicated... I've only really done sound "experiments" before trying to recreate things, a thought a month would be enough time to teach myself and come up with a decent submission but christ, my ...

Yah eh? How do you find Windows 7? What kind of specs are you running? I'm not sure where the blame should fall, I'm starting to consider my fast track pro, i dunno..

Re: Anyone running Ableton on PC laptop without lag/sound pr
welcome to the board angryrancor... GHF not enough for ya? lol Im running ableton on a Vista 64bit SP2 and I have problems almost everyday. Honestly I think it's vista. I'm rockin a Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2Ghz with 4Gbs ram, when I was using the asio4all drivers I didn't get far, especially when I tried...

Re: Drum Fills
a good idea to help you out with your fill writing would be (if you had ableton live) to drag an audio fill from a sample pack. Extract the groove. Then take the groove file and drag it into an empty midi clip file. Viola! You have the timing and hits for a drum fill. You can replace those midi not...

Re: Asio
thats a good question. I often have problems trying to use my Fast Track Pro ASIO driver for Ableton and Youtube at the same time. I usually have to restart one of the programs to give it control of the audio. Pain in the ass not being able to use both at the same time. What OS are you using? I'm on...

Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION-29
I don't mind the sample pack so far. The TEAS sounds are my fav I think.
There was a couple nice long synth sounds I can't wait to mangle these up a little more. Can anyone say brostep?
Should be interesting...

Re: Creating a rise?
Makes your own 4/8/16 bar synth patterns of one long note. Run through a mixer channel and add a few effects (Delay, Reverb, beat repeater, filter, glitch, dist etc etc). Automate the parameters over the length of the note. Bounce. Repeat with different parameters/synth noises/effects. Bounce. Repe...

Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION-29
Wheewu, I can't wait to get home from work and open this badboy up. I see the rule create the track with only the samples provided. Just so I am crystal clear that means we cannot have any sound at all that is not in this pack? Obviously we can edit them all we want, but I can't introduce any new vo...

Re: Does anyone wanna make a brostep collab
hey, you guys still working on this? I'd love to play as well. I am only a couple months into this stuff but feel like I could contribute. Im working in ableton and massive as well. Any progress? I can work with your drum loop, but any other samples or sounds would give me a lot more to work with......

Re: what exactly is "brostep"
This is all news to me. I guess I like brostep, but I agree fuckin homo name. Urban Dictionary says this about it: Brostep is a relatively new sub-genre of music (born out of Dubstep micro-genre) which has no emphasis on soul. The goal appears to be to produce music as fast as you possibly can, with...
