What sound are you looking for firstly? Or are you just looking to understand it's functions?

When I make a tune I always chop up drum loops so I'd probably end up with 5 channels of sampled audio: 1. Kick 2. Snare 3. Shaker 4. Closed Hat 5. Open Hat (Although sometimes I'll use the shaker) It depends on what sound you're going for I suppose... I do it because I have a real lack of decent dr...

oh my god dude ur so far off. to get this thread back on track, a couple more of my all time favourites would be: coki -burning (a nice mix of bassweight and some very tidy vocals imo) distance - traffic (hard to pin down why, but been a favourite since i first got into this. would struggle to find...

Same mate, I really don't rate Mt Eden at all, Sierra Leone would have been good with a sub bass that actually sounded in key...
