@Kes-Es- The intro with the filtered out kick sounds a bit much to me, take that out and play the intro as it is. The whole track is setup nicely, but needs more sounds to be brought in and out. Everything sounds good besides that main bass, its too grungy and harsh, doesn't suit this kind of track...

So I posted feedback a few posts up but forgot to post my track.

I personally make what I want to hear that I haven't heard, If I had heard it before there'd be no point in recreating it, So no, I think we MAKE music on the basis that we are pickier than other people. I don't think that's narcissistic at all.

Less is more. A tiny bit of reverb on the master, light compression, I like to think with really organic sounding stuff, it takes refrain.

This seems like something it would be valuable for an aspiring producer to learn how to do. "I'm not good with notes" seems like you might be pursuing the wrong hobby.

I think you'll be alright man. Just find out how those tracks sound on your setup, and do your best to match them.
