Re: Post your project files! (Ableton users)
Yeah I know some people will be hesitant but meh. Maybe people could post projects that were scrapped because we all have those kinds of projects. right?

Post your project files! (Ableton users)
I think it would be cool to post your files so others can diagnose the structure of your song or see how certain things work. I have a song I just finished I will post the project files when it's finished uploading. Would anybody else be down for this as I'd love to see how some people get that awes...

Is this phasing
Say I have 3 osc's, they are all saw wave. I turn the first one down by an octave, i turn the second one down by an octave and i turn the third one down by just a couple semi's.
When i do this i here this weird almost like an LFO in with the bass...is that what phasing is?

Question on basic scales.
Okay music theory kind of confuses the living day lights out of me but I'm trying to understand it the best i can. I've learned the C-major scale T-T-SM-T-T-T-SM I learned this is how you find out what notes work with one another in the C-Major scale. I just am kind of confused. I learned you can st...

Re: How do i find notes people used?
Well the way i'm thinking of it...it really shouldn't be that difficult because you only have 12 notes it could be...then just change it to whatever octave is closest. A lot of people use chords though and I have no idea how you find the root note to build the sound of the chord. I guess it is all e...

Re: How do i find notes people used?
Well I know a little bit about the piano, but not enough to be like OH THAT'S AN F# for sure...and so on. There has to be an easier way?

How do i find notes people used?
I've read around that remixes are the best thing to help you learn. I've downloaded a pack Shad and Dallas green - live forever. And it's just given me all the instruments in a WAV format...I want the melodies to all these so I can incorporate my own sound but I have no idea how to just know what al...

Wobbles in massive?
How do you do this really well in massive? I can't automate the rate in massive for some reason. I'm sure a lot of you know this and it's probably just something you can't do and is other ways around...so I thought well maybe I could throw an auto-filter on there and automate the rate with that inst...

Re: How do I get things louder without peaking?
Thanks I read all of what everybody said and it's helped out a bit, I think it's sounding a little more rounded now even though it's still pretty rough...and to the guy who asked what I'm monitoring on...Just a good ol' pair of computer speakers ahahaha But I think this sounds a little better and I ...

Re: How do I get things louder without peaking?
http://soundcloud.com/dlinkwent/ladies There, that's the highest volume I could get it without tweaking out...I find all my mixes always sound really flat too and like they have no life...dunno why...maybe it's just with being a really new producer? haha. By the way sorry for the extra little stabs,...
