the MAOI's do not change the character. they allow the dmt to be absorbed by the stomach because normally MAO would break down the DMT before it reached your brain but the MAO-inhibitors stop that from happening. ayahuasca lasts longer because it's taken orally as opposed to smoked. but DMT is DMT....
