Read that topic about 5 times, never once seen a single thing besides focusing on the growl.Hircine wrote:http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=198681

Any tips on achieving this sound?
I looked, and I looked, and I didn't find a tutorial ANYWHERE for this particular sound. Bare with me here, because it is a sound I heard in a Skrillex track, however it's not a bass, so I figured it'd be alright if I posted a thread. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFyVdItksX4 Comes in about :32 sec...

First real mix
http://soundcloud.com/aleksandrfkd/got-fkd-fkdup I've already noticed some of my own fuck ups, around 1:40, I think I may of gotten a few songs mixed up as to their placement as I forgot to write down the order, nothing fancy switchup wise, as I'm still learning, but I think it turned out pretty we...

Re: Looking for a new PC
Well, you can have quite a few running on just the bass itself.
Add that to the melody, pads, etc, and you can easily get 20+30

Alexsandr - Untitled Track
Just a track I'm working on currently, it's my first real bass that I've created from scratch, wanted to get your opinions on it.

I'm also trying to add a bombing bass at the end, but I haven't found out how to do it yet, any pointers?

Looking for a new PC, this old horse can't handle more than 10 instances of Massive running.

Re: Tips on intros?
I really don't have a melody in this song, it's basically a hard-hitting filthy as used toilet water song. But in other songs, I've tried that too, but it never ends up working well. Sounds to me like you need to work on your musicality. The intros will be easier after that. My musicality is fine, ...

Tips on intros?
I can make a FILTHYY bassline, no problem.
What I always have trouble with is the intro, I can't seem to find something that sounds fitting.
I've searched forums high and low, and I've found no advice, so contribute to my knowledge great masters of Dubstep.

Re: What do you do when you run out of ideas?
That's the thing, I don't want to force it through, because that really takes out the main purpose of music, and ruins the music in my eyes. I've always told people if music doesn't have emotion, it's not music, it's just noise. i guess, but the emotions will still be there from when you started it...

What do you do when you run out of ideas?
Well, I finally learned how to create a nice sounding wobble, managed to create a nice, calming intro, managed to add in the first wobbles, and then I ran out of ideas.
Do you just leave the track and come back to it when you feel inspired?
Or do you force yourself to try and create something?

So, I'm trying to make a danceish type track, and I'm stuck already.
I have a nice little intro, but as the second lead comes in, it the last 4 notes sound of out sync, I'd hate to remove it, because it's pretty damn catchy.

Wobble timing?
Hello everyone, I seem to have a problem. ): I can get a nice gritty bassline, but the wobble timing never seems to fit right, I'm using FL Studio and various plugins, if anyone could give me advice on syncing my wobble, I'd be greatly thankful, I've looked all over the forums for a thread, and I ha...
