Re: Sub Bass Techniques

plain sine. 3-5 db saturation, high-pass to taste. why would you hi pass a sub. op, for dubstep there is a couple methods you can do. 1. make your midrange cack in massive, then duplicate that patch, but change the wavetable to sine, then just have the lfo/performer on the volume of the sine to fol...

Re: RandoRando - War (Dark 150bpm Dubstep)

Thanks for the feedback man, yeah that was one thing that was bugging me. I revised the mix like 5 times and thought it was better to stop messing with it before i made it worse. I overthink mixing i think, all i need is a simple EQ rather than exiciters compressors etc.

Re: School for Audio engineering?

I actually went to SAE los angeles last year for a tour and info, the guys straight up told me that its near impossible to find a stable career in AE right out of college. Its more about gaining the knowledge and maybe landing a internship at a studio or a club. He told me its essential to have conn...

Re: Skrill Question (NOT monster bass bullshit)

use some triangle waves in FM8 with some sines or other triangles at higher ratios, sweep a double notch EQ on that.

then you should have your sound.

if you want to cut the frequencies entirely you, try a linear phase EQ

your track will sound better when turned up, on a good system especially. your friends tune is a flat wall of sound.

Re: The Ableton Q&A Thread

Export at 44.1kHz minimum whenever possible (which should be all the time). hmmm, what is the point of the higher bitrates? ive read that working at 48 will be a higher quality sound coming out of your plugins, like they will effect the sound more clearly. so ive been exporting at 48 and just conve...
