Re: The Ableton Q&A Thread

i dug out an old WIP of mine and found some tracks with acapellas on them, which i chopped and renamed. now i wanna know from which original acapella i took them out. is there any way to track that down? thx unless you consolidated them, just drag them out and it should reveal the whole sample, or ...

Re: The Reese Bass Thread

Linking the sub to it using a vocoder, if you don't mind explaining that'd be really cool ah, its quite simple, just set the link the sub and reese to a vocoder like you would anything else. Make the sub the mod. sound and the reese the carrier. Then play around with the bandwidth fx and fat. I als...

Re: The Ableton Q&A Thread

dont think its possible. it isnt even possible to automate pitch parametrs for a clip. why would you do that ? why not use a loop and make its lenght dematch the beat.. or move it in the arrange window ... that function is meant to remediate latency issues... best way to alter a sample's timing in ...

Then use these clips in session view and assign your pads to trigger them. You can then record from session into the arrange view. :h:

Re: Fast pitch modulation on sub??

its a cool effect that not many people do, go for it f it sounds good man.

this is a tune that did very subtlety, but it sounds awesome on subs in the car.

its a shame noone can find any other songs from this guy

Re: EZDrummer...

He's probably processing the samples afterwards. In their Future Music video, Noisia said they used Superior Drummer (the premium version of EZDrummer) so I guess it obviously has SOME use to these guys. The use imo is that you can effectively mimic real drums, and in the case of Noisia they were p...

Re: WIP Thread - GIVE FEEDBACK TO OTHERS BEFORE POSTING!!!

^^^ that wobble is too scratchy, distorted. just sounds like noise. try EQing it as its taking up alot of frequencies taking up too much headroom.

After years and years in the waiting, anyone upgraded to Live 9? What you think? im using it, honestly i still feel like im on 8. the new EQ is nice, and glue compressor is nice. some things look a little different, but its just cosmetic. i havent dabbled into m4l yet. and havent really had a use f...

Re: EZDrummer...

can't use your own samples in ezd. never used cubase, but I'm sure you can use your samples as audio clips or maybe in a sequencer. Or try a vsti sampler. There must be a way, because Getter's drums are no where near stock. getter only uses it for the toms and cymbals, kicks and snares are just nor...

Re: absynth 808

make a new patch, if its just a 808 make a simple sine wave, no effects, make the envelope have a long decay. a quick envelope on the pitch to make the "kick" part of the 808.

then you will be able to play it across the keyboard

open up any project file of a finished song, put the bpm to the lowest possible, play it. then put it to the highest possible. hilarity will ensue
