Re: Been producing for x years, and i still dont know how to
I watched Depones tutorial videos and they are very helpful! I notice though that you always put your compression after eq. Is this a case by case basis or something you do regularly?

Length of time spent on a project
More specifically, how long (hours) can you work on a project before you start getting "numb" and making bad decisions?

Re: Resampling more in depth
Say I have an explosion sound I want to completely change. What is the benefit of adding an effect, then resampling, adding effect, then resampling , etc...as opposed to just adding all the effects first, then resampling? Thanks Durkooistra for the great tutorial on splitting freq in ableton much ap...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for February, 2011
Hey Guys! JakeDubber: Good job on mixing the drums...in my monitoring environment they sit really well. Once the drop happens, I would randomly silence the bass, and add some effects in the place for a little more movement. I do like the static synth going on in the background during the bass heavy ...

Re: High PitchedBuzz in bassline
Well the really weird part is on the spectrum analyzer it shows it as energy in the 70 to 150 range but audibly it sounds in the 3-4k range. I would check each oscillator but I already bounced down yesterday. I wish I would have heard it yesterday it would have saved me a lot of work.

High PitchedBuzz in bassline
I'm using ableton with a reaktor midrange bass. There is an annoying highptich buzz going on and my spectrum anaylizer doesn't pick it up. It only goes away when I do a steep low cut around 150hz. The problem is it's taking too much low end that the bass sounds weak even with a subbass layer. Any su...

The Oki Synth in reaktor I'm finding to be really interesting. Morphing between different waves creates that metallic grit
