Re: Office Steppers
glad i'm not the only one sat in work!
i can read the forums etc, but unfortunately with no sound so can't listen to anything anyone has made. reading this forum always makes me want to go home and finish the tune i'm working on though....
and it's still only 10:45!

Re: Anybody else get pissed off at people that only dj?
i find dj'ing alot harder than producing, i suppose it's about different pressures. if you think you have all day (and night) to work on a tune you are making, where as a dj gets one attempt at his mix, within a time frame and under a lot more pressure. i can beatmatch (not very well) and have a dec...

Re: History of dubstep, When did you join in?855- 8
for me i got into dubstep through my brother. i had been into experimental and down tempo type stuff for a while beforehand and it kind of just seemed natural. my brother was into drum and bass in a big way and i have never ever liked it, it's far too uptempo for my tastes. the first thing i can rem...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JANUARY, 2011
@homenoiserecord i love the variety of instruments, and the production levels at the start are awesome. my only criticism would be the wobble bass, for me with this kind of experimental sound almost i'd have gone for maybe some more basic sub bass or something like that. there is already a lot going...

Re: Dubstep on Radio 1
in fairness my only gripe is with the daytime dj's, they seem to love any old shit and think that it makes them incredibly cutting edge by doing so. fair play to radio 1, the skream and benga show was decent (as you'd expect). they are trying to ensure that some proper stuff is played by people that...

Re: Dubstep on Radio 1
i think it's a difficult one. more and more people are getting into it, and as a result it's just going to get bigger. i don't think anyone has a problem with people getting into something, it's the quality of tunes coming out that would concern me. some of the "dubstep" you hear on the ra...

Re: Choosing a production name for your side projects
for me i have similar names for the different kind of tunes i make. for my mainstay dubstep tunes regardless of wether they're jump up, chillout, filth etc they will be under primsound. for all of my ambient, down tempo stuff it'll be under primscape. simple as. i think it's a good idea personally, ...

i've always thought that subscape does the 2 well, on the one hand you have nothing's wrong and then on the other you have low heights.

@dannydubstep lovely build up, also some classic vocal samples! definate floorfiller. ;) @vandul loving the edgy build up to the tune, also the beat is really nice. proper half step. @djdayz gets right into the action, i like it! http://soundcloud.com/owainbright/global-crossing there is my track, g...
