willryan042 -- I know what your intention was, I think it can sound good so long that you get them in the right key. I do the same type of vocal processing as well but you have to make sure they compliment the notes of your instrumental appropriately. I like the instrumental.

Re: WIP Thread - GIVE FEEDBACK TO OTHERS BEFORE POSTING!!!
@HimanshuVikal Chord progression is strong but your percussion is dry and robotic, and I’m not keen on the samples used either to be honest. Add a more moveable groove to them and perhaps a reverb. Also I think you should experiment with layering synths since the majority of the synth work you have ...

How do I make this sound? (Scream Style Wobbble?)
Soundcloud
1:38 the descending scream style wobble? I want to get the aggression in the higher frequencies and maintain some mid-range grit, how would I make this sort of sound?

Savant Sound Design
The weird metallic wobble around 0:54 in this track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=go6yqkc0EKs 2:05 - 2:08 in this track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWWbMz89QrU How does Savant create these sounds, and get that metallic sounding shine and grit? Also, a general question that can also be seen in ...

Quick Question About Limiting
Why do people prefer to leave plenty of headroom in their mixdown and then rely on a limiter in the mastering chain to induce loudness as opposed to mixing hot? Does it retain clarity AND make the track louder?

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
Eye-siC - Odd balance between some of your sounds, for example some drum hits are too loud, subs a little overbearing, but I absolutely love your synth work and certainly not a boring song at all. Sounds great. Kongret - I love your drum structure, the actually mixing and technical side of the track...

Re: Andrei Stephen - Everybody (Dubstep/Brostep)
What difference does changing the ratio make exactly? Just curious as to why you would do 10:1 on a snare or a kick
What is[/s] the ratio? LOL

Trying to shake the rust off, first time I've produced seriously in a few months. I'd like all sorts of CC, literally - technicality to musicality, I want every single honest comment thrown at me.
Thanks for the listens! <3

@Wizzard Very interesting synth work O_O DIGGIN IT, i think it wouldn't hurt you to make more room for drums, but I love what you have going on. I really like the VIP. @Cheeky the tune itself makes me feel stoned T_T but it's damn good man, I love it, i love the arrangement, drums, vibes, everything...

Understanding Sub Bass
Okay, so making tracks is enjoyable for me, until I plug it into my subwoofer and I realize that there really is no bass. Brostep or not, I want there to be some sort of bass playing under my "midrange cack" and I'm not really sure how to go about throwing it in there. http://soundcloud.co...

Catchy / Melodic Hooks
Although this is about as vague as a topic can possibly get, I can't help but ask; how do you all write your hooks or main melodies in songs? I dont mean the drop, but intros, or just memorable melodies that are catchy or "hummable".. Any specific methods or rituals, or do you just improvi...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@obey I love this one, I think that the wobble doesn't really compliment the production in the rest of the track, as it sounds very flat... but I really enjoy this track, it reminds me a lot of rusko <3 @kaiori breathe I'm not on here enough, but from what I've seen your pretty prestigious as a prod...
