Re: DMFK - Skrillex Wannabe

Meh...it's alright. Way too chaotic for me; there are just too many random noises flying through the air. Some of the wobbles aren't timed correctly too. I hear them being cut on the rise. I do like the deadmau5-style lazy track title though... I would recommend you use Soundcloud for uploading your...

Downloading; thanks for that. The only complaint I have is that the kick should be more loud and bassy, but really nice stuff

Re: Today - Night Air .. 2step gloom

F**king beautiful. Excellent. The only thing I would change is to add a little to the high-end upon mixdown, giving it a more new-age feel, but nevertheless, it's a superb track.

Re: losing mind

still it's preview track,.. I'am more worried about mastering and sound quality. Don't have opportunity to test on good system I've got studio monitors and studio headphones, and I hear a very-well mastered track. There isn't any clipping or distortion when the sub bass plays, every sound is clear ...

Re: Scalade - Poison (Deep/Dark Dubstep)

Very industrial sound. I'm not a huge fan of dark dub, but this one I like. The bass vibes are insane and very well done. Maybe add some more synths in there, and its good to go.

Good work!

Re: losing mind

It was good until those "Flintstones" vocal effects mass-murdered it for me. To be quite honest, it gave me a good laugh.

I WAS really liking it though. Just maybe the bass melody could be a bit more creative, but all is good.

Re: WHEELTON - INCISOR...Big tune! (Looking for release)

Whoever posted on SC that there's something wrong with the timing, is a complete dumbass. Track is really nice, but some sounds are a bit...weird. You could also use some deep sub bass in there. The distorted bass pad that comes in a bit later doesn't really hit it for me; try finding maybe another ...

Re: Looking for some hard criticism. New to Dubstep.

you are actually getting positive feedback for this garbage? get to know bass music first. Don't be a dick. I wouldn't think your music is any better. @ OP: All your tracks are simply "meh" for me. Being honest, it's a good start, but it isn't where you want to be at your fullest potentia...

A little harsh there, Mr. Secret Ninja?

The thread states that the title format is RECOMMENDED. To recommend means to advise or suggest something as a course of action, not to force upon.

Re: AirRake Lascivious [borgorish]

sounds like "complextro" which is more like skrillex, imo. I'd say just get some structure to your tune instead of just constant random noises, you can put that in for your "drop". just my opinion! love your drums though! I have nothing else to say. What Blinks said I absolutely...

Re: Second Song do you like it?

I make my sub bass in a program called Sylenth1. It's quite simple. Start off with an init patch, change the waveform to a sine, and drop the octave to -3. Boom. Done.

I still don't hear any sub bass in there x) you're right, there's bass for sure, but none of those car-rumbling sub sounds.

Re: Second Song do you like it?

It's...ok. There aren't any low bass tones throughout the song, which is what dubstep is about. I also didn't feel any drop at the beginning; it was more of a "meh". The drums and percs are a little weak, as are the wobbles. The synth you have playing between the wobbles is a little cheesy...

Re: the swarm

Nice sounds! Let me start rant mode: the hihats at the beginning are a little bit cheesy IMO; your mixdown is clipping at times; your song is a type where the wobbles take control of the sound, and they get a little repetitive, so I would variate those more; needs more synth; needs a breakdown/slow ...
