Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@ArrenMog I really like the synth at 28 seconds that's got a slow filter on it and heavy delay. The tamberine shaker in the background fills out a lot of the percussive frequency nicely. I could picture this as the opening theme for a Kidulthood type movie; very dark, underground vibes. I like. @mth...

Re: KRK RP8 Monitors
Ah cheers guys. So they're basically the same. well bi amped means there a separate amp for the tweeter and the woofer. thats what most of the common choices are nowadays. active means the amps are built right into the speaker so you don't have to worry about buying an amp and wiring. theres pros a...

KRK RP8 Monitors
Hey guys,
Just about to buy some KRK RP8's as my first monitors. One thing I've noticed is that some are Bi-Amped and some are Active. What is the difference and which set should I go for? I don't really know much about this sort of thing, as you can probably tell.
Thanks for any help.

@NorCoDubstep - Yeah its a feed me remix :) Updated my recent track, so: @donpablo - Very interesting bass. Really like this. And you managed to stay in key with the vocal sample! Most producers of this style seem to struggle with that. @Daskmajster - LOVE the intro. Listened to it 3 times before I ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@Craggle - This is awesome. Really reminds of the film "Friday" - kinda RnB feel to it. Sub is really powerful and well mixed. @jkz - intro is a bit boring. At 20 seconds I really liked it. Snare seems a bit too powerful though. When the high pulsing synth comes in I pictured it in a movie...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@ amphibian - that's just lovely :4: @ lloydy - this is hard to really critique with that panning, it is way too extreme. I'm not sure if you have that sound turned up too high or if it just seemed that way but it was hard to focus on anything else for more than a second. that being said, I can rea...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@ninthy4 - LIKE. Very Noisia-ish with the high passed reeses. Not much to add, found myself moving as soon as I started it which is a good sign. @Tuneless - I'd add more lower octaved piano notes, maybe the root note of each chord 1 octave down, just to give it more body. Really liked the vocal samp...

Sick piece of hardware but for the price, I'd expect the buttons to sound less Made-in-china-ish.

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@ mthrfn k - 1st - I absolutely love the build up. So chilled out. Although, and this is just an idea, try the single kick build up with a snare rather than a kick drum. Would love to hear this more progressed. 2nd - Intro is really cookie monsta. That reese bass is brutal. Snare could use a little ...

Anybody that thinks these are not sampled straight from multiple skrillex tunes needs their head examined.

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@Cheeky - Like this a lot, it's very funtcase-y. If the main synth had a bit more beef to it, it would be better, imo. Hi hat(the ride one) could be turned up a notch too, it's getting drowned out. Snare could use a bit of layering to give it some punch. @Resik - Sounds a bit too busy, and there's c...

Re: who is this???
Those that can do, do. Those who can't, sit on DSF bashing those who can. Make energetic music like Skrillex, be called crap, hipster and a no-talent. Play C5 sub bass note for 5 minutes, add 1 shaker loop, be called deep and inspirational. The sooner you learn these rules, the sooner life on DSF be...
