Well ive done a lot of research today and downloaded the free 30 day trial of ableton. It seems like a kickass program and im already becoming pretty comfortable with it. I feel that cubase is geared more for audio recording and mastering than a electronic music program. I also heard that it really ...

Really? it seams to me that ableton is more of an advanced DAW. I currently use fl and am trying the ableton 30 day trial and it seems much more technical. I am getting used to it and it has a ton of great features.youthful_implants wrote:both have merit.

Ableton or Cubase?
I am currenly looking at both of these products and I love them both and cant really make up my mind. Has anyone used both and prefer one over the other? or have any advise for which one I should choose? Thanks.

Read the book how to make a sound by Simon Cann, you can download it for free from his website. It covers just about everything you need to know about synths.

I actually got like 10 wobble bass presets from a friend back when I used to use sytrus im not sure where he got them from though. I would say ditch sytrus and get something else if you want an effective deep bass heavy sound

No just don't use Dubturbo is my advice, it is very cheap for a reason. The worst part of Dubturbo is you can only have 16 tracks, which means you are very limited with how many drum loops, synths etc. that you can use at a time. Save up a little more for FL Studio to get you started. And if you ...
