Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
alexeyhermann - Good production quality, but I'd like to hear the vocals take up more of the mix, or at least alternate between the bass and voice being the focus of the song. As it is now, I think you could probably just take the vocals out and the effect would be the same. Scy7he - nice rhythmic q...

Vocals aren't that bad, but yeah it doesn't really seem like the two parts of your song fit together.rymebox wrote:Feedback on this? Thanksrymebox wrote:WIP...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
I need some help.. When i took the track to my car and listened it with the same equalizer settings that i use when i'm normally listening music in my car and the synths did sound little weird. Theys sounded like the bass was too loud and maybe little muddy and the higher end sounded like it was cl...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
Yes, I will youtube side chaining and such. I was noticing that my drops don't have that "boom" factor, how do you think I could come upon atleast making the first initial note big and dirty, to set the pace for the rest of the drop because the hardest part for me is laying down that firs...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
bozoy: The composition is actually pretty good, and all the synths sound quality too. my only criticism is that the kick is pretty much non-existent, on my setup at least. It sounds like your sub might be covering it up, so it might help to try a little side-chaining. or alot. that might sound pret...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@Cthulhu: definitely add a bass track. your synths sound alright, although that talker needs more variation. I think in massive you get that by modulating your wavetable. @AcidRat: sweet drums man. sounds pretty interesting overall, no criticisms. @Dogmancar: Yeah if you want your strings to sound r...

Re: Sweet Vox - A one-minute bitspeek test
why thank you sir. yeah listened to it a few more times in the car and I think the clap could use some work. Probably try to get the vox to be more bassy too, although maybe its just my car speakers that make them seem more empty.

Sweet Vox - A one-minute bitspeek test
Alright so I'm trying out another style of music again and came up with this one minute clip. I want to expand it, but I'm not really sure where to go with it. I figured I could get some creative help from some forum members. I can't really imagine a smooth way to get it to build tension. Yeah, it's...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@Tyler J: Musically, it's a pretty cool piece. The structure of the song is a little screwy, but if you're more interested in production I think the first thing you should research is proper EQing. I'm definitely no expert, but I'd probably tone down your kick a little since It sounds like it's inte...

Re: Nicotine. (Classical piano style)
thanks for the feedback man. I don't know why the harpsichord remix was in my sig, it was supposed to be another song. Thanks for reviewing both though! Yeah i spent so much time transposing each note of the sample up a third, I need a bigger transition for it. I think I'll probably do a double time...

Re: Hotfix-2 New Chunes
Thick skinned: Generic snare. Nice intro though, and the bass is pretty interesting. Cool wormy synth around 1:50 and 2:20 too. Nice chord progression, but maybe stick another section in with a different progression to mix it up. Just a thought. Lucidity: During the intro, the bass line is too borin...

Re: Dub Bananez- Five Pillars
Try switching up the beat a little more. It's good, but make it sound better with another beat to contrast it with. Nice feel overall though. This is this is good work.

Re: Glyphex Music-cinematic mesh with dubstep rythm
Wow, good stuff man. Nice intro and nice ending. I like that steady melody you have come in around 0:25. You're right, it has a really cool cinematic quality. Reminded me of the new tron soundtrack. Maybe bring the drums up a little more in the mix though. And try putting just a tad of reverb on the...

Nicotine. (Classical piano style)
Sup fellas. Just trying out some more classical samples. This one is from Franz Liszt's Totentanz (It's a very angry piece). The synths (there's two) were all made in Massive. Still getting used to not just using the presets on massive, but I feel like these came out pretty well. Massive is a pretty...
