Re: Billy Corgan Interview on the Modern Music Industry

Good to hear Corgan speaking out. As much as artists have a responsibility to make great original music, not just follow trends, so music lovers need to support artists whos work they love listening too. Spotify an rest of that kind of stuff ain't support artists to me. Neither as people putting rip...

^definitely checking that one out. I was actually really excited to pick this up as well, but 50 bucks for an ebook? $ to £ is not good at the moment. Subscribers to the lostinmusik blog get decreasing discount over the coming couple weeks. There is still last few hours of 25% discount going on ebo...

Re: Music Producers need an exciting identity to be successf

A&Rs/Labelheads don't spend their days trawling the new joiners on Soundcloud to see which ones are talented. Getting that first tune heard by the right person takes a LOT of work, self confidence and almost single-minded dedication. Every professional musician I know CHOSE to be a professional...

Music Producers need an exciting identity to be successful?

In modern electronic music almost anyone can make a track of sorts - so you need to stand out. This question is answered along with how to develop a unique sound and build an audience in a book I'm launching - "Complete Music Producer - Essential Skills to become a success" Featuring exclu...

Re: NYU

not taken a class there mate, but I always hear dubious report of schools. In part to the fact they cover such wide range of modules you don't get any really depth, unless you put alot of hours in yourself. What particular area you wanting to improve would be my question then find the best in that a...

Re: Producers/Dj's with families... HOW DO YOU DO IT?

Very tricky one mate. Correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds like maybe you could do with openly discussing it with your partner, trying to arrange a little dedicated time when you can be left alone to make tunes. It will be hard to sort, I'm rekoning the best way is if your partner has another inter...
