Logic's awesome. Bit of a move from FL (I done the same) but once you get the hang of it you'll love it.

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@jtl - liking the intro, giving me a good feeling about this track! Nice organ, sounds very clean - reverb sounds like just the right amount, beat when it comes in sounds good, a little bit loose though, maybe compress it down a bit more. The organ annoys me a little bit when it does the "da da...

Re: How To Make This Sound - August 2012
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhpQLTfrqJc So I'm not looking for how to make a noise, just the specific effect on this track, from about 1:15 in, there's a sound with some real squelchiness to it, KTN and others have been using it as well, is it some sort of ring mod? Tried chorus's with super hig...

Re: Production - How to Get Your Shit Together?
Sure fl is fine. But how do you know it is the right daw for you without trying others? i learnt the basics on fl but moved to logic a couple years later. id say my stuff has improved quite a bit since. Also i was commenting on the software and stuff that comes with fl. Make sure to test out some d...

Re: Free 100s-1000s+ Soundcloud Plays, Followers & Comments
I'll always maintain the same view... if your tracks are big enough then they'll get noticed, your friends will be proud to have a friend who makes bangers and will push your tunes to their friends, and so on and so on... you'll gain followers on SC that way, and maybe someone will pick them up. If ...

Re: Chord Progressions & scales questions
Another quick question I've got (or something I'm wondering from listening to some tunes), would it be fair to say that in genres like dubstep/dnb where you want a dark/tense vibe, that it would be best to play 'post drop' sections, on anything other than the tonic note? That way there's always tens...

Re: Rolling off the high end..
I agree with Alpz - cut around 17khz, sometimes I roll my bass/kicks off around 5-6khz depending on the bass obviously. Also it's worth thinking about creating perceived depth and space in a mix, remember that the further away things are the duller they sound (less high end), since learning that I'v...

When you want to find "that" vocal sample
So I'm working on a tune at the moment, usual story, awesome ideas flying through my brain, which is always good. But I always get stuck at this one point - vocal samples - in my head I have a ridiculously specific vocal sample I want (rhythmic flow, tone of voice etc), but no access to mics/vocalis...

Re: Chord Progressions & scales questions
Cheers for all the tips - definitely going to get the computer music book and spend some of my 'work' time reading about voice leading.. hey it seems like youre only using chords build from 1-3-5 and 7. These four tone chords are used mostly in jazz and some of the chords harmonized in a scale actua...

Re: happy production mistakes thread
I spent years eq'ing everything to complete excess - like notching out 15db chunks out of sounds to make something which sounded good on my speakers, but shit everywhere else. Epic fail. But now my ears are sweetly trained as a result! Every cloud... Also not reading about gain structure many years ...
