The biggest mistake beginners make is looking specifically for dubstep tutorials. When all of your production knowledged is based on one person's song making tutorial you're going to end up making the same uninspired and copycat tunes over and over, and you wont be expressing your own true creativit...

For me it is a sin. I don't use other people's patches, and i don't sample other peoples songs or use loops. I feel like I need to make every sound to have it be my creation and my artwork.

A. Save up for a legit version of massive before you go getting cracked versions of other software. B. Ham VST is your best bet. the oscillator presets are far more organic sounding than massive's, and the filters are more intuitive. 2. Make a super large kickdrum that fills a lot of the freq spectrum. play this as the first kick in the drop to make it punch

dude its just a halfass kick-snare loop and some stale bass notes that sound like you just learned how to hook up a midi keyboard.
