Re: Distance talking about how he likes Korn
I really like their first four albums, then as someone else mentioned, they just ran out of ideas or something... I would also definitely consider them as one of my main influences too, though I am not a real fan of their new tracks. Actually I dont really like nu metal anymore, the bands are really...

FX of course, such as distortion, eq, lo-fi or bitcrusher type effect, and many other. In the plugin I mainly play with the oscillators and cutoff, If I want it to sound completeley different I would use different synth plugins/presets and like outdropt said, playing them on/off

Re: MOOMBAHTON
I have always though of it as reggaeton with edm djs instead of mc's and beatches XD but I found this to be more accurate:

theres already a subgenre for the bovine audience
it's called moooooooooooooombahtoon
all the hippest animals on the farm are listening to it

Re: Artists doing well without supplementary DJing?
I think that the ones who dont dj must have day jobs. It would be pretty hard to make a living by selling tracks only, unless they are really mainstream tracks

Hello Guys, I am not exactly a new member over here, I just created an account a while ago but have been mainly lurkety lurking all the time instead of participating in the forum. I am a dj/producer who also organizes the craziest dubstep/glitch hop & drum and bass events in Guadalajara, Mexico,...

Re: Osmium - Decimate
I think you have a cool track though I dont really think that the background noises and pads fit in from 1:02 to about 2:10, they sound good at the break in 2:10 - 3:00... just my opinion, hope you find it helpful

Re: 100bpm
Im pretty sure 100bpm is referred to as mid tempo as in MidTempo-breaks (see vent, breakbeat buddha, etc.)... I didnt see anyone mention that in this thread... Also some glitch hop goes all the way up to 100bpm... But in Bass music, who cares about tempo. I remember bassnectar referring to his sound...

Re: Jonathan Davis ( Korn ) "Dubstep is the new metal."
The last time I went to a Korn show they announced a super exclusive never heard of Jonathan Davis DJ set at an after party with music that was never heard of here in my city (Guadalajara, Mexico). I went there and payed a pricey entrance fee hoping to hear some killer dubstep, breakcore and drum &a...
