Re: Dubstep is Expensive
Music in general is expensive. But if you go on iTunes you can get the 'This Is Dubstep' albums for around £4-£6 each (full tracks too) This Is Dubstep Vol 3 (£5.99): http://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/this-is-dubstep-vol-3-getdarker/id389378468 This Is Dubstep Vol 2 (£4.49): http://itunes.apple.com/...

Losing motivation and inspiration.
How do you guys keep motivated and keep inspired when producing. I sometimes just get fed up of my limitations (lack of money, musical knowledge etc.) and lose patience. Funny thing is, when I'm not at my computer I just really want to be there producing because I get a good idea for a tune but can'...

Re: Decent Starter MIDI Keyboard
I've also found the keys to be plasticy and too small. That and the knobs just will not work and the software that came with it AND the one I downloaded off the akai website does not work and the "upload" button doesn't work on the software. Not recommended from me but tbh I don't know any...

Re: WTF, Skream?
Quickly becoming the Charlie Sheen of bass music  . Charlie Skream. Dub-winning  But on a serious note that is disappointing to see from such a good producer :/ I was reading his twitter last night and he was going off about Skrillex and I don't even know if he was supporting him or rippi...

Re: Help me pick hardware
After all reviewing I'm going with the Korg KP3, the NI Maschine, some monitors and going soft with Massive (for now). Still up in the air with a good external soundcard though? Also didn't mean to come off as a dick I appreciate all the time everyone took to drop a post and especially those who wa...

Re: Help me pick hardware
Thanks for all the replies, I had been looking at the KP3 and Maschine think I'll consider them a for sure. I had been considering the Akai MPD32, Akai APC40 & Korg nanoKEY and was looking at a synthesizer but am leaning towards the recommendations now that I've searched more VS threads between...

Some of you guys are so busy trying to repel newbies you don't even realise you may be repelling some really cool people that ARE open minded and may be able to teach YOU something. Try giving people a chance instead of shitting all over them before they can even try ffs.

Re: First Dubstep Track
I'm just starting out myself, so I guess I can't give too much help, but I agree with the other guys that it could use some more stuff in there to make it more interesting. I love that bass though, and I like what what you did with the LFO. What synth are you using? Just a thor with lotsa effects a...

First Dubstep Track
I need feedback i've been trying to make a decent track for a month now and decided to just try and get one out there.
Soundcloud
I don't like the intro but I want to get onto a new track and refine my style first.

Re: MPK mini problems
Hey man dont even worry, everywhere starts somewhere. I own the MPK Mini and I actually use it for Ableton Suite 8. The knobs can be midi mapped in vst's that enable midi mapping. example: midi mapping a knob to the filter cut off or the lfo. The "drum pads" how ever are a bit more tricky...
