Re: DATSIK & D-JAHSTA NOISES?!?!
But yeah, whatever he does through them can certainly be done in another vst, he might just like the way he can control it with his finger swipes or something. And I'm not sure about D-Jahsta using Operator, since him and Cyberoptics have done so many collabs and he uses FL and Massive.

Re: DATSIK & D-JAHSTA NOISES?!?!
Yes, i remember you said that but after checking it out before and now again, i doubt thats what gets his signature bass. You still have to sample it, apply filters, and modulate. Youre basically doing that by hand instead of using automation to lets say more a LP filter. Doesnt seem like there any...

Re: DATSIK & D-JAHSTA NOISES?!?!
As I said earlier, DJahsta uses a Kaossolator pad to filter his basses.

Cloned Massive patches sound different?
I am having a problem where I set up a massive patch and then clone it and it has a different sound. I figure this might have something to do with voicing maybe? I have tried all 3 voicing options (polyphonic, monophonic, monorotate) all in the "always, triller, legato triller" settings an...

Re: 52 free patches for dubstep production + VST
What will this synth offer that other freeware with more capabilities won't offer? Other than being an obvious eye sore. Not to hate on your hard work but there are a multitude of free synths that are better just based on the available features in your synth. Synth 1 has more features. Oatmeal has ...

Re: DATSIK & D-JAHSTA NOISES?!?!
D-Jahsta uses a Chaos Pad to filter his basses. Not sure what he does with it but I know he uses one to add the metalic sound. Probably some sort of a series of delay/chorus/comb. It is probably possible to achieve a similar effect with vst's, but this is how he does it.

Re: What exactly is "TONAL" delay?
Do you have any suggestions on the best tool to do tonal delay or what sampler to use? I have used sugar bytes artillery and effectrix but i cant get them to sound fat and evil like im going for and am able to do with fruity delay. I am probably missing something but there are also probably better t...

Re: What exactly is "TONAL" delay?
Pembroke, thanks for your snide reply. If you had actually taken the time to Google tonal delay instead of going to justfuckinggoogleit, you would see that there are just a ton of results showing effects that say they have tonal delay without actually explaining what it is. In fact, my post was the ...

Re: What exactly is "TONAL" delay?
So if I were to put a delay somewhere around 1 to 15 ms where it adds a robotic comb effect, would that be considered tonal delay? Also, I would like to automate the fl delay by a few ms but this doesn't seem possible since a 1% change in an automation would be like 500ms or something huge. Is there...

What exactly is "TONAL" delay?
I have been using the stock Fruity Delay 2 on my bass sounds for a heavy or robotic effect but I have been seeing stuff about "tonal" delay lately. I know it is in Sugar Bytes Artillery and Effectrix but I haven't found as good of a sound out of those as I have the stock Fruity Delay 2. I ...

Re: Extreme distortion, but still clean sounding(Sinister So
Anyone have any EQ advice? Im trying to lower the 3k and 5k frequencies in the distorted channel and lower the frequencies below 1-2k on the clean signal so it will be distorted and clean at the same time. Anyone know exactly how much i should cut out or how wide and what freq? My room mate is sick ...

Re: Extreme distortion, but still clean sounding(Sinister So
Awesome suggestion! Never thought of that before! Is it possible to have a sound going simultaneously to 2 different effects channels in Fruity Loops or do i need to run it through one that is clean and then route that one to another that is distorted

Extreme distortion, but still clean sounding(Sinister Souls)
I have been attempting to get that overly distorted sound like Sinister Souls, Balkansky, Bratkilla, Mantis, etc but it keeps sounding more static like than distorted. I have tried using Ohmicide and D16 devastator in conjunction with Camel Phat and Sausage Fattener. For Ohmicide I have been splitti...

Re: Signal flow for basses. Where to distort and compress
I kinda had a feeling distortion should come before compression. Any thoughts on delay/ chorus or comb/ formant filters and where they should be? Also can anyone recommend a good delay or chorus plugin? I have been using the simple fruity delay 2 with decent results as well as d16 syntorus but I tho...

Signal flow for basses. Where to distort and compress
I was wondering if anyone had some advice about whether to distort before compression or after as well as where to eq. I have been eqing first in the signal chain but i dont really do too much to the eq besides cut out the sub from my bass and cut out a little room for the drums. Also if I am using ...

Make sure you send out texts or calls to everyone you want to come the day before and day of to people you want to come to make sure you know what to expect. Re: House Party Thread
Facebook events are probably the easiest way to get people to your party. Here is an example of one me and 2 friends put on a little over a year ago that had close to 200 people there until the cops came at about 12:30, then it was about 50 or so until the sun came up. https://www.facebook.com/event...
