Re: Ackers - Big Blind & Waiting (140)

waiting is my favorite here. nice chord to begin with and the bass adds nicely at the drop. gets a little static overall after the drop at like 2:30. 2:46 was a nice change up as I expected bars-wise. Maybe a little variation with your drums to try to pick the beat up a little bit, bring down then ...

Re: Your perception of your own music

I try and listen to my tunes in as many different places as possible. Not just for referencing, but I find just listening to your own tune with other people in the room can make yourself look at your own tune differently. And of course if they're nodding their heads, bonus ;)

Re: The heat

my grandmum, who is from india, complains vigorously about the heat, but not because it's hot but it's because it's not clear hot air, as in india so she says. She calls this heat dirty and makes it difficult to do anything and it's barely 30 degree, where as in india its 40+ on a everyday basis an...

Not read any of his Sci-Fi - but Wasp Factory is definitely worth reading.

Yep I'll just nudge this a bit, *vrrrmmm*, and skip a few bars. Gotta press down on those bitches.

Re: Vinyl DJs - 7" releases?

I'm thinking about pressing a couple of limited edition releases in a few months and I've been playing with the idea of doing limited edition 7"s, maybe 100 copies of each. Any of you who still play wax - would you play 7"s or are they too much of a ballache to mix? :t: They're easier tha...

Re: acetate discussions

Do these guys give feedback on a mix before cutting if you aren't attending? I have never sent anything off to be mastered before. Cutting isn't mastering yo. A certain amount of processing will need to be done so the audio can be cut, but the engineer isn't gonna sit there for an hour mastering yo...

Re: 90% of the population thinks a DJ is "making music" live

Are DJs even DJs these days?

A "proper" DJ would be scratching, cutting, crabbing and all that stuff.

I'd say I mix not DJ!

We was there dead early too, ran out of stuff to do to kill time and was walking around the area but still ended up at front of the queue. Heard it got quite long though?

Re: DMZ 8th Birthday :LINE-UP ANNOUNCED

Which is the opposite of my experience. It was militant as fuck the last time I was there, had multiple pat downs. Once you get past that its usually pretty lax though. I feel like a broken record though as I swear ive said this atleast twice in this thread? that or im losing my mind. Yeah but then...

I'm looking at getting up to Bristol this year and to base it around a night. Is there any nights to look out for? Kahn, Pinch etc. Cheers They don't do too many nights, maybe a few a year, but reach a Subloaded if you can. Legendary. Nice one this is what I meant, I want to plan ahead and reach on...
