Re: [FREE Track] Electro Swing Dubstep !
@Dankhurricane it's in his signature.
This sounds fantastic! So jumpy and fun, really feeling this track. The intro is so excellent. Not sure if the ending "post-drop" is too long though.

Mantra - Breathe / The Ritual
Here's two tracks from our very first release. I (Chris) produce, and my friend Kieran sings. I'm a bit newer to producing, so my style is very raw at this point. Mixing isn't my strongest trait whatsoever, but I'm working on getting better at it. Kieran and I started this project after we had been ...

Re: why do you hate skrillex?
You gotta give the guy credit for coming up with some songs that are successful for doing what everyone else has been toying with. The SM&NS melody is a killer. You gotta give justin bieber credit for doing tweeny pop songs that everyone else has been toying with for the last 100 years aswell. ...

Re: why do you hate skrillex?
This thread has an awesome conversation going. What rez said in the first page is exactly what I was thinking. I think what Skrillex is doing is awesome, I just hate that he's a cocky bastard about his success. Especially when there's producers doing a lot better things that him. I loved his Scary M...

Re: What's with people and sub-genres?
In my opinion, genre-bending should be more accepted. Experimentation is where you've gotten there in the first place. People get so offended for others making up crazy subgenres to define their music, yet when the artist has its own sound it sometimes comes in handy for someone whose never heard of...

Re: Performing Live With Minimal Equipment
New problem! I'm trying to run my MacBook through my Alesis Multimix 8 USB, and I've been having a major issue. Presently, with my ragtag home setup, I run the Macbook through an eigth inch jack (into a fourth inch plug adapter) which goes into the LINE IN on my 3rd channel of the mixer. I then have...

Re: Performing Live With Minimal Equipment
to the OP whilst the full version of live is really expensive, ableton live intro is usually pretty cheap and has a lot of the same features (although im not sure about connecting hardware to it like a microkorg). failing that i thought they had a 30 day free trial of the full version you could dow...

Re: Performing Live With Minimal Equipment
Thank you all for the helpful feedback! Looking into one-off acetate vinyl records, would LOVE to be able to spin these live, not to mention have my own personal vinyl copy of my own songs for my collection. :) I'd very much like to get into Ableton, I'm just totally broke right now. Perhaps when mo...

Performing Live With Minimal Equipment
What's going on guys? My name's Chris and my new project Mantra is playing at a club in a couple weeks. We've put together a bunch of songs, mostly experimental dub with a heavy post-hardcore influence. He sings on the tracks, while I provided the instrumentals and do harmonies/back-ups. Anyhow, I'm...
