How to make the music in my head come to life?

Every song i make is never on par with what i hear in my head. It's always way less melodic and doesn't have that bump i am looking for. I can't figure it out what i hear in my head is straight dirty,\ but when i comes down to making it happen i just can't make it happen. Any tips?

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

@Surfr i love that sample. @ Darj, the strings remind me of James Bond for some reason:) The bass that comes in at 55s is great it has a ton of weight to it @mthrfnk that awsome you could do that in an hour . That melody at the beginning is great<object height="81" width="100%"> ...

Re: 808 style sub bass sounds in Massive

Ive gotten some pretty good 808 style sub sounds by putting an envelope on the pitch of my osc so dips a lil when hit
i was also having issues with the clicking but envelope 4 is automatically assigned to main amp, mess about with it and that might help

EDIT: use sine/tri as voice

Re: What does the term "bounce" mean?

Nah, actually I pretty much asked the same fucking question as this one. I wanted to know what bounce was and techniques people liked to use to achieve so. I think it's more so having "shit" moderators... They must just like me better  and those shit moderators keep this place raging...

Re: Hard bass makers.

Those are DAW's what really going to make the bass is sound design.
Checkout Massive, Albino, FM8 and Ableton Lives Operator are a few well known software synths

Re: The Ableton Q&A Thread

I am currently running Ableton on a Mac, I am also running FL Studios an old Toshiba. Will there be any problem taking audio from one to the other? On a side note, I am considering Bootcamp, because the toshiba sucks and im positve Fl would run much faster natively on my mac, which has 4gigs of ram ...

How exactly is this done? Thanks for the feedback so far guys... I really wanna know what I'm doing. Reverb is a commo...
