Re: What made you want to produce/make music?

I used to play guitar, so I was already pretty interested in music. I tried my hand at making beats in FL studio a few times but i never really took it seriously.
One day I got on my computer and I saw a new video uploaded on UKFDubstep (Back when they actually posted a decent tune every now and ...

Ableton's automation is super easy to use IMO. I can't explain why exactly but its just super easy to wrap your head around it

If you're using Live you can automate the tempo through the drop down box on the master channel.

I don't like using cracked software. I bought all my software, and I'm glad I did. (Though that $700+ would be useful at times  )

Re: Return track phasing in Ableton

Click the View tab up at the top and enable track delay. See if you can play with the delay settings on your return track to prevent the phasing? :)

Re: What new thing have you learned this week?

I've been messing with reeses a lot this week. I've learned that it's better to take a sound and process it into a reese, it'll always sound more interesting. And I've also discovered a really nice effects chain that makes basically any reese sound super crunchy :)

Re: The Reese Bass Thread

I've been screwin around with reeses quite a bit lately, and I'm getting a lot better at making them sound like not shit. Re: Massive's Wavetables?

I've been making tons of reeses lately so I usually use some combination of saws, lunacy, and maybe scrap yard.

Carbon is pretty good; it's got alot of good harmonics to it. Scrapyard is good, especially if you automate the w/t position.
Of course, using the phase modulation can make any ...
