Re: Tip for drums in FL studio
You should definetely do this with the mixer channels, and have it drop down in volume just before the kick/snare hits instead of as it hits, so the transient gets to kick through. very tedious to do it this way, but imo it gives the best results

Re: When and when not to use mono?
As Banesy said, there's quite a few tracks out there with stereo lowend, so I don't know how much that 'rule' applies anymore. But generally speaking, I'd say that the most important elements of the mix is mono while the 'flavour/spice' is stereo. But it's whatever gives you the best result imo.

Re: In Need Of Some Tips For FL STUDIO 11
Loading fx in patcher on the mixer channel = basically infinite amount of fx plugins per mixer channel.. I think your pc will crash before you run out of space for fx in the mixer

Re: New Skrillex "Phaser"y growl
I made this a while ago, after tweaking something I got off a youtube tutorial. Don't remember how similar it is to how the tutorial sound was though https://soundcloud.com/blinkesko/chorus-growl-ting/s-fi3hh That sounds really cool! Any chance you could explain the process? I'll have a look at it ...

Re: Fattening a drum loop?
layer it with synthesized drum sounds. For example, layer the snare with a sine (distorted perhaps) hitting at the fundamental of the snare. Shape the sine's volume envelope to make it fit the original sample, then compress the two together. Same goes for kicks.

Re: Layering kicks with phase
Move the samples around a few ms and try to where it sounds the weakest. Then flip the phase and it's suddenly at it's strongest

Re: Fucking fat snare - how?
Do a short volume automation on the other elements of the track when the snare hits, and make sure your snare has a nice and strong transient, short and punchy body etc.. Example of this in my sig

Re: OmegaMode/Barely Alive drum fills.
Just program them yourseld and eq and compress, I was doing it recently with the stock ableton tom samples because they're all tuned really well, with a bit of eq and compression they sound amazing! The stock drum samples plus macros are the only thing I'm jealous of that Ableton has and FL doesn't...

Re: Savant - This Is How I Roll (Omni Remix) lead synth
Two sines 4 octaves apart, distort them like crazy, adjust the ADSR envelope on the amp to be stabby like this one, then smack some reverb on it
